Dwayne Bowe... Holy Heck thread.

I remember around week 4 I was considering dropping him in fantasy, now this week he put up 48 POINTS in my league. Guy has been on an insane role. 14 Tds on the season. He is defiently in the top 5 receivers in football right now, probably top 3.


Now as an example:

he has 13 receptions, for 170 yards and 3 tds.


Cassel has 22 completions for 233 yds and 4 tds.

Defenses know the ball is going to him, and they cant stop it. Insane

He's been playing like crazy this year. I some what expected him to play well (nothing like this of course) after listening to Irvin rave about him after working with him this summer.

Yeah, it's crazy how quickly he turned around his season. I remember thinking he was complete garbage after I saw him drop a ridiculously easy catch in the end zone around week 4 and cursing that I talked myself into drafting him my fantasy leagues. I was getting ready to drop him from my fantasy team, but didn't really like my options on the waiver wire so he survived another week. Lo and behold, he goes on a ridiculous tear.

Sometimes you just get lucky in fantasy, I guess.

He had a spectacular rookie season with 86 catches 1022 yards and 7 tds. Last year he was in the coaching dog house and had a 4 game substance abuse suspension so he was up and down his first two years and he started off this year a little rough and has started showing the talent he showed his rookie year

Are you arguing that Bowe is not better than Austin? You just said he(Bowe) was top 3 in the league because he's having a great year this year. Miles hasn't had a 14 TD season yet, and Bowe still has 5 games left. He might score 20 TDs this season. =P

It's no more mental than proclaiming Austin the best WR in the NFL after just one season (last season) either. Let's face it -- a lot of the posters on this board can dish it out but can't take it....

I was full on a huge fan of Bowe coming out of college. I would have loved for the Cowboys to draft him. He is a good player. He has everything you need to be a good WR. He is a bit of a head case though.

Lets not put what he is doing out of perspective though. He hasn't exactly been playing against the best defenses in the league. Lets see what happens when he faces the Chargers defense who have been playing well.

Like I said. I'm a fan of his, but lets see him continue what he is doing against better teams. The pace he is on right now, I seriously doubt he can continue long term. Even against the defensive garbage he has been doing it again.
