Dwayne Bowe?

Dwayne Bowe makes more "business decisions" then Mike Jenkins could ever dream about. I remember watching this bum last year on Sunday Night Football against Pittsburgh not jump at all to catch a pass which would have set KC up to win the game just because he was afraid to get hit.

I would much rather have Bowe than Austin.
count me in with you. the other day seeing him lolligag back to the huddle sealed the deal for me. curious if Miles isnt a little butt hurt because Tony is looking Dez's way more often

Even tho i have zero trust in Miles (due to his injuries) i dont think its worth it to bring Bowe.

Hmmm. At the end of preseason there was a thread about us having the best receivers in the NFL. Lots of people were on board with the sentiment. Better than the Falcons and better than the giants by a mile. What has happened since then? We still have Wit, Dez, Miles. Ogletree and my fave, Andre Holmes.

I think we should be saving our~GiGGle~Jerry's money for offensive linemen next season.
Maybe you should look specifically at who said that back then and who is saying this now.
I suspect they are not the same people....just a hunch:D

Well, I would be a little worried about giving Bowe a big contract too. I'd sooner pass on Bowe and get rid of Austin and his ridiculous contract. Look to the draft for our next substantial WR.

But just on talent and who the better player is, give me Bowe over Austin every day of the week.

Why would they want to go backwards by swapping Bowe for Austin? If we threw in a 5th round pick, I still don't believe they'd view that as an even trade.

this should not even be a debate, of course Bowe is the better reciever. thats why kc would never trade austin for bowe.

miles and a draft pick for bowe:laugh1:

how about lets keep miles and get some olineman and maybe a OC to run a better offense. Heck I wouldn't be mad if we went to a west coast offense.

We would have to pay bowe probably more money than miles. I'll pass.

No no no, I would like to add Bowe, he would be a great addition but not by giving up Austin because then we are in the same situation as we are in now.

Just wait till after the season and try and sign him. Bringing him in here now will be like roy williams, He would have to learn the offense and get timing down with Romo. Romo is a very important timing QB.

wow there is some serious comedy in this thread.

miles is always open? come on.
lets stop with the jokes.

miles has been a huge bust for a full calendar year now.
he was one of the main culprits in not getting back to the huddle last week.
he hasn't shown any speed and has failed on a few occasions to catch balls thrown ahead of him. Either he has lost a step or is still protecting his hamstring a year later.

his 20 catches on the season is a travesty.
that is barely more than half what dez has.

miles is owed 14 million next year? if he doesn't improve i don't see him in a cowboys uniform past this season.

I'm shocked at how highly guys in this thread think of Dwayne Bowe. I'd LOVE to add him but swapping him for Miles improves NOTHING.

It improves our durability and talent at WR. Cap wise, too speculative at this point to comment.

Nobody ever said this should be the first order of business or that it is a must. Or that this is what is going to win us a championship because if we think we're just a player or 2 away, we're wrong. It's not just all about players either.

It's one of those, do your homework and see if this improves the team at all approaches. Well, up until this season, nobodies heard Bowe sqwack a bit and he's done nothing but be durable and perform at a high level year after year with bottom of the barrel QB play and no other viable threat across from him.

Not saying Bowe is Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson or Calvin Johnson. But probably the next tier below. We always seem to believe our roster is so talented, but it is not and Austin is one of those types of players. Bowe does deserve a pay day more so than Vincent Jackson did, that's for sure. Deserves his pay day more than Austin did.

He does improve the WR position. No, not the o-line or d-line which each could use another stud player or 2 on both sides.

:laugh2: If I had a quarter every time you use that emoticon I'd be able to buy every zoner season's tickets so we'd actually have home field advantage and an engaged crowd.

Please see my post just previous to this one.

Why isn't he the right kind of guy?

Dude's been playing with bottom 10 QBing for his whole career and nobody on his other side to take some heat off of him. Since Gonzo left not even a TE.

Not one sqwack about his QB, his contract and certainly no off field issues I'm aware of. OK, he didn't come to camp on time, not many guys souring about the franchise tender do. The guys been easily a top 10 WR in this league since his 2nd season and has been paid way below that.

The Chiefs have stunk year in and year out and the guy wants market value and to play for a team with aspirations of contending. Can't fault a man for that.

Being a RKG has nothing to do with how good or bad your QB is. Obviously you don't live any where near KC like I do. Let me put it this way, there would be more Chef fans happy to see him go than sad he is leaving.
