i just heard someone on the Ticket talking about the punting stats from the game:

The Giants punted four times and the Cowboys got 68 return yards.
The Cowboys punted four times and the Giants got -1 return yards.

A whole lot of the credit for that, on both sides of the ball, belongs to Harris.

This looked like Dwayne Harris of the past couple of years. He made something of every return. And as a gunner, he was terrific. It's always been fun to watch him on punt coverage. Maybe it's his running back instincts, but he consistently escapes and beats the blockers down the field. I thought he made a really good play in the second half, controlling the returner's (can't remember now if it was Beckham) lane, staying with him and riding him out of bounds for a negative return deep in Giants territory.

It was good to see him back in form. He needs to bring his A game on Thursday against the Eagels special teams.

I agree, I felt punt coverage unit did a good job. All in all I felt special teams did decent but did have a couple of good kick returns against them

He seems to agree with you. lol

That's what many don't realize.
Last week some where asking why the guy is even on the team, and I'm saying there are 31 other teams that would love to have him in some capacity.
He does it all on special teams.
He is literally the only one in the entire league that does all of those jobs.

That one play where he chased Beckham across the whole field out of bounds was pretty sweet.

That was incredible. Beckham had been shaking our best athlete on defense, Scandrick, all day. In comes Harris who he just could do NOTHING against. That was a huge ST play.

Great post.

Last night was without question the best game he played this year. He finally looked like he got his burst back. The first ten games this season, he looked like he was running with Derek Kennard on his back.

It helped that Jones shanked two punts so bad Beckham couldn't get to them...

That bye week probably helped him out as much as anyone. He's taken some knocks this year, but has always played through pain. He probably feels much fresher, which is good because he'll be insanely important going up against the Eagles twice

I don't think Harris has played well the last few games and he was still one of the most valuable special teams players in the league. He was fantastic last night, but will need to be even better against the Eagles. I think he's one of the biggest factors going into the Thanksgiving game.
