He's earned his burn. He's a tough kid, has good hands and contributes everytime he steps on the field. Williams will be a good one, I just don't think he's cut out for the slot. Put Harris in at the slot on a rotation with Miles and let Williams develop more before asking him to make sight adjustments and whatnot in his first game in the redzone.

At the end of last year this guy made play after play on offense and special teams. To the point where a lot of people considered Miles Austin expendable in the offseason. Now we essentially bench him the entire game for an unproven rookie that almost cost the gam with running the wrong route.
Harris again played a helluva game although it only came on special teams. Hopefully Dallas includes him much MUCH more on offence going forward, and actually gives Williams time to figure out what a hot read is.

I agree that Harris has earned his offensive snaps. Problem is they want Austin in the slot, which makes a lot of sense. Especially if you're going to line him up next to Jason Witten. I dont' want to give that up just to get Harris in ahead of Williams right now. Especially since Williams is going to get a lot better with a half-season of experience.

Dwayne Harris was a standout tonight in the coaches eyes. Special teams do count for something.

I've been a big Harris fan since his CUSA days .. I really wish we would use him more than on predictable bubble screen plays.

You can't be serious. You want to reduce Miles time and give Terrance more snaps? That's the worst of all postgame suggestions. Williams ain't where you think he is. If you want Harris to get more time, its by rotating Harris and Williams.

I think that nails it.
Harris is way better than Williams right now and if you include special teams, he's way better than Beasley too.. But Mile Austin is better In the slot so Harris gets gets discounted some in the offense.

I will say this, he almost always gives them something when they give this guy a shot.

This is EXACTLY how I feel! Harris is a tough, clutch, playmaker. Good things usually happen when he's on the field. I hope we see more Harris and less Williams until Williams develops a better understanding of the game.

What I didn't get about drafting Escobar and Williams was, who do you want to get fewer touches? It seems to me that this guy needs the ball.

I admit to being shocked at how much time Williams got at WR instead of Harris tonight. Especially after the miscommunication play between Williams and Romo resulting in the INT.

I actually agree. The thing is, though, I think that the staff wants Williams to develop as quickly as possible because they feel that, eventually, he'll be a better fit than Harris. And he might, but right now Harris is the better player, and after tonight I think we can all agree that he knows the offense better than Williams. Personally, I think they're pushing Williams a bit to much to quickly. He's a rookie, and we all know that it can take a rookie WR a while for the light to come on. Hopefully, what they're doing won't cost us a game in the future like it almost did tonight.

It's understandable for Harris, a third year vet, to be ahead of Williams. Maybe the Cowboys shouldn't force Williams into the third receiver spot if he isn't ready. Nothing wrong with a rookie getting less snaps than a veteran while he learns and improves.
