Dwayne Harris

Harris said he knew right away the return could go for a touchdown.

“As soon as it left his foot, I seen Orlando block his man inside, gave me the sideline,” Harris said.

From there, Danny McCray did the rest, sealing off punter Mat McBriar, a former teammate.

“I just know Mat,” Harris said. “He’s not the type of guy who will come down and make a tackle. A lot of kickers aren’t really tacklers. He was just trying his best to get in the way.

“Danny just fought him, let me have the sideline. From there, it was the end zone. Six.”

Let's give it up for this guy. Last week against Atlanta he nearly broke it for a touchdown on the first punt return of the game. This time he did. It was the first punt the Cowboys had returned for a touchdown since 2010 when Dez Bryant did it twice in his rookie season. That's a long time. I've got to give credit to the blocking as well. It has gotten much better on special teams. Joe DeCamillis has come under alot of fire and rightfully so, but these two games he has gotten his unit prepared and playing very good football. Getting back to Harris you know he may not have great speed, but he's very decisive and elusive. Kind of reminds me of Patrick Crayton as far as a punt returner. Hopefully Harris keeps it up because Dallas has been missing this kind of consistent threat on returns.

I am listening to WIP in Philly now and enjoying the meltdown.

They are slamming Bobby April for the special teams not recognizing the wall the Cowboys set for Harris' return.

Big Game Dwayne should get more opportunities. Punt returns, kick returns and some work at WR. Give him a chance!

I've been saying this since early last season.. but Dwayne Harris should be returning punts all the time for us. He's better than Dez at it.. period. I'd also put him on KO returns if i was this coaching staff. Need to see more of him and Beasley in the passing game, as well. Ogletree should be regulated to Gatorade duty.

In other news:

Jeremy Maclin AGAIN outplayed DeSean "Punk ***" Jackson.. as he always does.

Mike Vick.. gotta feel for the guy, he gets zero protection and gets knocked around like a punching bag every week because of his OL. If you thought our OL was bad...

Maybe Philly is one of the teams that Jerry was talking about wanting our oline.

Sorry. I'll never feel sorry for that jack***. I hope he has played his last down and I will never hear his name again.

K, great. :)

Harris is a playmaker. I think they need to try getting him the ball in space on offense and see what happens. Beasley, too.

Garrett is simply dumb. He doesn't even know what he has with Beasley and Harris. If they were implemented more in this offence they would look totally different.:bang2:

I think you nailed it. He's dumb. And the WR position coach, he also doesn't know what he's doing. Or Bill Callahan, either. None of these guys have a clue at all.

I'd rather see Beasley/Harris in there over Ogletree anyday. Seems in Beasley's limited snaps the past few games he's getting more looks than Ogletree.. who's only looks are more pissed off ones coming from Romo after he goofs up another play.

I agree, and have said so in several threads. I don't agree that the offensive coaching staff are idiots. We've got some of the best coaches, all around, in the league.

Well one things for sure! ~
He needs to stay on punt and kickoff's, and keep Dez off the field on special teams. I am more than satisfied with this outcome.

Like this display of rock, paper, scissors. Romo's paper beats Ogletree's rock.

The kid has soft hands he will be a force to reckon with after another offseason.

The kid should have been our #3 all along. Unfortunately they like Miles too much in the slot to move him, which is understandable, but leaves Harris on the bench since he's not much of an outside WR.

I love the play but that was as easy as it gets for a Punt Return. There was NOBODY there to make a play.

I gotta credit the blocking more than the return man.

So why is Miles paid like a top wr? He isn't that great in the slot either. Put him outside and tell him to earn his money.
