I would take Smith in a heartbeat.....if Jarrett had half the work ethic and drive Smith had he would be all-pro.

Sounds like a line from Rudy...

I'd take Smith over any of the wideouts we have now.

Plain and simple - Smith can completely dominate a game.

good advice it may be, good time for it, it was not. keep it off cameras, especially if the problem you have is with the cameras

Maybe Smith has approached Jarret about it before off camera. Maybe he got tired of Jarret ignoring that good advice. Perhaps seeing Jarret complain about why he is not used more set Smith off to approach him again. If Jarret did study more film then he probably would have less to complain about because he would see more playing time.

I've never seen TO get limited to only a couple of catches in a game. Or have I? It happens to every receiver in the game. Especially when the QB is not that great and there are no other threats on the offense. Also, when the offense is a more run oriented system. I have seen Smith shut down and I have seen him dominate games. He doesn't get shut down more than other top flight receivers.

Look at it from Smith's perspective. They cut a solid, but unspectacular second option in Keyshawn to make room for this guy. Now that Jarret has proven to be less than adequate, defenses are gameplanning around taking Smith out of the game because they are not scared in the least bit of the other options on the field. The rookie has not stepped up to the plate, so Smith and the Panthers are paying the price.

Pete Carroll might be a phenomenal recruiter, but I don't respect him much as a ballcoach. The list of busted draft picks coming out of USC is starting to pile up. A lot of his players seem under-prepared for the NFL and lacking work ethic. I also heard that Ken Wisenhunt wasn't all too thrilled with Leinart's dedication and work habits, and that's why Warner was starting to get some snaps.
