Ertz is in contract negotiations...This seems like a good chance to buy Ertz (whatever it costs it’s better then have our LBs chase him around for the next 5yrs

He won't come here.

Look, we as Cowboy fans hate the Shegals. Them Philthy phans HATE us and that translates into the team members. Ertz might play somewhere other than Philthy but it won't be in Dallas.

I like his talent level and would love to have him here but it won't happen. Philthy will re-sign him. Having him here makes us better and makes them worse.

Jarwin's gonna surprise folks. His Achilles heel is staying healthy.

Buy him for what? The Cowboys are unlikely to give a top draft choice and also pay a big dollar, multi year contract. Besides, it's highly unlikely the Eagles would trade him to their top rival in the division anyway.

"Whatever it costs" is never a good attitude for a team.

Ertz is under contract this season and next. If they are going to "buy" someone (via trade), I can't imagine that it's going to be Zach Ertz.

They can have him.

Throwing the ball to Ertz 100 times a season isn't good for an offense.

Ertz has almost been their entire offense for nearly two years. Miles Sanders didn't come on until late.

No way in hell they're letting Ertz walk.

While I agree 100 percent, I was amazed that they were able to trade down with the Eagles into the 4th round to get Biadasz.

This was the first Eagles-Cowboy trade in 10 years and after we selected CD ahead of them in the first..

Well let’s say you trade for him with next years 1st and they draft a Taco, who comes out on top? Whose got Witten 2.0 and blocked the Eagles...idk just a though nothing else going on.

lol, well I can always imagine any scenario I want where things work out well for the Cowboys., but real life doesn't necessarily follow the path of the "what if" game.

But if playing the "what if" game, then "what if" we can't reach an agreement on a contract with Ertz, Ertz leaves as a free agent, and the Eagles draft somebody like T.J. Watt?

Then, there is still the impediment of the Eagles really not wanting to provide their primary rival with a top tier TE.

And, there is still the fact the Eagles have Ertz under contract for the next 2 years, so it's not as if they are being forced to make a trade. Besides, all you said is the Eagles and Ertz are in contract negotiations, so for all we know that will go smoothly and the Eagles will be happy to keep him.

Don’t you do an extension when you trade? Other then Amari

Forget Earl, I’m thinking Ertz with the 3WRs, Dak, and Zeke will be unstoppable and block the Eagles.
