Whether anyone is willing to admit it, philly is a pretty well rounded team. If our D shows up big, we can win. I am not counting on it but I do believe in this defense. Offense, not so much. I was hoping to finish at 500 during Dak's absence and it looks like that's a worse case scenario if they wait until after the bi-week.

Book it! Our defense is going to tear them apart

28-17

If we don’t the buzzards will be circling this thread on Sunday night tearing it apart. Some of you really enjoy going out on a narrow limb. Hopefully this turns out better for you than the Pollard is overrated thread you started and your prediction that Tyron Smith will play a full healthy season. Lol Pollard is the only player we have on offense that has any juice.

I have a healthy respect for what they have done. Kudos to them. BUT they are the ones running their mouths right now like they are all that. WHO HAVE THEY PLAYED? We are just sitting back listening, waiting etc. I think they are in for a wake ^ call Sunday. Rush will shock them. Zeke will eat.

Please explain how this is a bad matchup? I know everyone is high on the Eagles after they have defeated powerhouses such as the Commanders and Jaguars but what do they really do that the Cowboys would just have no counter for? They aren't that different from the team we put up 40 & 50 points against last year.
For one, I wouldn't be overconfident with regard to the offense in general.
If we can't control the clock we're screwed.
If the defense doesn't get turnovers that directly turn into points, we're probably not going to win.
If we don't have a dominant running game, it's not going to be easy.

The offense isn't putting enough points on the board for me to be all in on a win. Philly is a good team.

There's simply no way the current offense is going to put up 40-50 points. Rush had 10 completions last week.

I think we will need to hit a few big pass plays early to keep that defense honest. Spread 'em out a bit.

Pollard maybe only way we get to 28. Need to get some passes his way.

He can't....he's a troll....

I can actually.

Here’s the thing: Eagles have both a superior offense and defense. They excel in running the ball. Overall, the Eagles have the 4th best ranked defense in the league. Dallas has the 7th. I know we haven’t allowed over 20 points, but the stat takes SOS into account (link for stat sheet used: https://www.footballdb.com/stats/teamstat.html?group=D&cat=T)

We obviously know their offense is more dynamic and less anemic than ours just by looking at their scores and stats. Jalen Hurts currently is the superior QB. That’s not even to mention we obviously have problems stopping the run, which is what Philly excels at.

With their defense being held to a higher degree versus our anemic offense, in addition to our defense going against likely a current top 5 offense in the league whilst being ranked lower than their own defense, this is obviously the toughest matchup we’ve faced yet. I have no doubt this game will be grimy as it’s a divisional game, however, that doesn’t mean it isn’t a bad matchup. Can we win it? Of course. It’s the NFL. But I’m not hedging my bets because in many positions and classifications, Filthy unfortunately has us beat (QB, WRs, RBs, Defense).

The only option they have is to run Hurt early and often and keep him out of the pocket
I have faith Quinn will adjust

You have those stats ordered by yards per game. Sort it by points, the things that actually win games, and we move from 7th to 3rd. On average we give up 12 more rushing yards per game than the Philly defense that you think is so great. And we just shut down the Rams running game completely so I'm not as nearly worried about the run as I was. Looking at scores is not necessarily the best way to say their offense is less anemic. Of course ours hasn't been stomping teams but we've scored whenever we've really needed to. Once we have the lead we have tended to play incredibly conservative on offense which has been smart considering we are playing our backup.

Will it be a tough game? Of course. But it's not like the Eagles are as all world as some people make them out to be.

I don’t doubt the defense punching them in the mouth but I’m curious as to how you figured that “28” number for the Dallas offense. You’re speculating and predicting the cowboys will score a season high 28 points against one of the top defenses in the league? With Cooper Rush/Dak at the helm?

Yeah no. If this team does win, it’s going to be low scoring. But the odds of that happening aren’t looking to be in our favor. It’s a bad matchup right now.

With Cooper, no, unless they can run for 200 yards.
With Dak, yes. They can easily get 28.

My gripe with pollard is that every time, EVERY TIME Pollard is in pass protection, would drives fall apart

juice or not, he has also been a factor of why some drives don’t work out

Tyron being healthy was in the bold predictions thread. That’s why it’s labeled bold lol

this isn’t a bold proclamation

i believe we are a matchup nightmare for Philly. If we don’t turnover the ball, we WILL win this game
