Eagles are close???

Living here in South Jersey, I am surrounded by the Eagle faithful. As a die hard Cowboys fan, life can sometimes be interesting during the season. My topic today is the belief that the Eagles are a player or 2 away. At 5-8 they were an overated, lack of talent bunch. Now a mini winning streak later, all of a sudden the fans and local media think they are that close to being the cream of the NFC. Amazing!!! What to you guys think???

I think they are a good team.

I think there is no excuse for them not making the playoffs this year.

I think Andy reid might be the poorest coach of the year, not only did his team struggle in the middle of the year when they needed wins the most but he allowed his own personal life to interfere with his job and was a distraction to the organization.

I think this this is the same crap people were spewing last season about the 49ers who ended strong.

Sure, the Eagles are much better than the 49ers ever were, it's not like they've been bad forever. Up until just a few years ago, they won the division just about every year.

But everyone else has caught up now, they aren't getting to defeat a bunch of sorry division teams to pad their record anymore. It's going to be a battle every year for them for a while now.

Eagles are a good team. Lot's of distractions this year and many tough, close losses.

I'll say this much. I am very happy that we won't have to see them in the playoffs. After the way they beat us in Dallas and destroyed the Saints in Nawlens, they are clearly playing some damn good football right now.
