Eagles DE Jerome McDougle will miss at least three weeks with broken ribs.

McDougle, the hard-luck Eagle who missed last season after getting shot, was competing to be the team's third defensive end. Trent Cole will perform the role now, with Juqua Thomas earning more snaps. In other Eagles news, the team lost reserve linebacker Greg Richmond to neck surgery, probably for the season.

Shame for him. He worked hard to get back from being shot last year. Luckily for them the eagles have a lot of depth there.

I love me some Trent Cole!!!!!!!!! He's gonna the best linebacker nobody's ever heard of in the NFC East this year. He's the replacement for Derrick Burgess who we should never have let go.
