What a can of worms this is going to turn out to be!

From now on, the eagle fans are going to say that they lost the SB because of this! What about the clock management by the eagles, huh, in the last few minutes? What about McPuke throwing up everywhere, huh? What about McI'm Tired Now not being able to overcome the last few minutes, huh?

Is all that because of a video tape?

OK, what about the eagles winning the NFC-E for all these years? Did they cheat? Maybe, huh?

How about the Cowboys NOT winning alot recently...are they honest and not cheating?

Regardless...this is what it is!

Just the fact that them doing what they have been doing raises questions about a championship is enough to make me want to suspend the whole damn team for a year.

In a bizarre twist of fate, I agree 5stars. They had the opportunity but McNabb threw it all (up) away.

In a bizarre twist of fate, I say get lost, loser!

j/k

But, really...they had a chance to win the game at the end, and the eagles did not execute, period! They were in it till the end, but Reid and McFatso blew it! There was even reports that McPuke could not even call a play in the huddle and someone else had to do it!

Don't blame that on a video tape...

Look. I think we all accept that some cheating goes on in ever sport. That's why so many teams have closed practices so any plays they instituting can't be seen by anybody else nor discussed by any sports writer either -- particulalry a visiting one from another city.

We all see/hear about teams trying to steal hand signals from across the field and that's why some coaches cover their mouth when talking into their mikes or hold up a paper or towell in front when discussing next plays into their mikes or to their QBs. And we've all seen every team look at stills of formations other teams have employed on the field. And there also a lot of concern when a player is cut so that his handbook doesn't fall into another team's hands. Also wouldn't be surprised if some of the people in the stands could be attempting to videotape some of the things the coaches are doing on the bench.

However, this thing appears to be more then that. It was important enough that the NFL FO sent out a letter to all teams reinforcing that videotaping b any team on the field is not allowed. It is also not allowed to take videotaping equipment into the lockerrooms during half time. I did read where in one instance (could have been in a Boston paper) that the Pats video guy was seen talking into a mike while he was videotaping. Think he was standing behind the Jets bench. Maybe I'll go back and check if it was the Jets' or another team. I just know I read that at least 3 teams have reported incidents re the Pats and a 4th, the Lions, were checking out their film.

It's hard to believe (if the report is true that the NFL finds enough evidence to believe Pats breaking the rules) that Pats only did this against the Jets on Sunday and against GB last year. I can see the Jets cause they play each other twice a year but while GB--a team they wouldn't play that much. You can't escape the idea they've been doing it to a lot of teams and again that begs the question. Why would the Pats being doing this if this didn't gain an advantage. Also what's happening about the incident where it reported Pats somehow doing something about the radio frequencies during the Jets game. Have the Pat found a way to either pick up what is being said?

Will be interesting to see what action Goodell takes? Losing a 3rd round pick and that's all will cause a big stink particularly when we look at the punishment meted out to Wade Wilson -- 5 game suspension and $100,000 fine. That's huge.

Whats hilarious about this thread is.....

the only other team to win 3 in 4... now has it tarnished - go Eagles keep the story alive :D

and...

The Eagles didnt get the win regardless.... they take each other through the ringer over and over....

it'll get exhausting...

Good question.

To find the frequency would not be hard at all, given the right equipment.

Brady: "...haha! You know that video of you puking during the Super Bowl that's floating around the internet?"

McNabb: "Yeah Tom! I've seen it!"

Brady: "Well guess who taped it??? Hahahaha!"

And all this time I thought it was his momma feeding him some of that Chunky Stuff...:bang2:

What do we say about just going ahead and give the eagles one of the Cowboy's Lombardi's so we can just get them out of the way!! They are irrelevent...

There are bigger fish to fry...

Super Bowls XXXIX XL XLI have got to go down as three of the most boring nad least inspiring contests I have ever witnessed in the sport, they weren't even blowouts, just sloppy and pathetic.

That shows just how bad a scandal like this is, you cant know for sure how long or how often the Pats have been doing this. You wouldnt be human if you didnt wonder and it definately taints all their Super Bowl victories in my opinion.

No we don't know exactly how long but.... Mangini left the Pats staff to be the Jets Coach last year. So if he knew as has been alledged... Then they were doing at least two years before this year. Maybe longer.

FWIW-the major weakness in this Eagles D is just that-they over-pursue.(which is why they're vulnerable against the run) The Pats did exactly that by opening up with screen passes in that 2nd qtr. Since then, this has all but set a blueprint how to exploit their D.

I remember in a Mon Nighter when the Eagles played Carolina, the Panthers were gashing them with the screen pass and to some extent, the run-but for some reason, they just got away from it-no wonder why Dan Henning got fired when all was said and done.
