When I was a sophomore I took a girl from a neighboring town, that only had one leg, to a local dance.
Her brother and my sister were going out some at the time and they hooked us up.

She was great, .. and told me on the phone before we went, (the dance was her idea if you were wondering) ... she told me, "'my leg is in the shop so I will be on crutches."

She had lost her leg from a disease that she had, and she passed away a few years later.

In another story. My uncle was born with one arm. Other arm ended about 3 in gets after elbow.
My grandmother got him a prosthetic arm back in 60s.
A guy tried to mug him.
Pulled on arm.
Pulled it off.
Was in compete shock and froze.
My uncle snatched it back from him.
Beat his arse with it.

The ironic part about this whole thing is that the Eagles Stadium, before The Link, was "The Vet" or Veterans Stadium. I wonder if this women is even aware of that.
