Total Posts: 1677 Troll messages aside, that was one of the things i thought about that game. Think about, through the playoffs, we always were able to get pressure on the qb until the SB. We couldn't sniff Brady's jersey that game. And what happened to Brian Dawkins??? Well if the Pats knew our schemes, totally takes away our defensive playmakers if they know what package you are throwing at them. They would know what side of the line the blitzes were going from.

Total Posts: 54 What bothers me most about cheating is that it leaves everyone thinking "what if?" Maybe they cheated in the SuperBowl, maybe they didn't. Maybe they would have won anyway. Who knows? Maybe Bonds would have had this many home runs anyway, if pitchers weren't juiced up.

What it boils down to is that the Eagles didn't win that game. It might have been because the Patriots cheated, but that doesn't change what happened. It basically makes the time spent watching any Patriots game a complete waste because we know that whatever we watched wasn't "what should have happened". Unfortunately, we'll never know what that "should have" been.

since we are now a victim of the cheating can we get some of the docked NE draft picks. lol

All of what you say is true. But....., if u remember that game do u remember those Brady drives where we just couldn't get them off the field when they were soaking up the clock. Every blitz we ran at them was picked up. Most likely they didin't cheat in that game, but one of the things we look back on in that game is how inept our D had become... kinda makes you wonder now.

our defense was good that year but it wasnt dominant. They mostly benefitted from having ten point leads and just being able to attack, attack, attack instead of playing honest ball. The patriots were the better team. Patriots ran alot of screens in the 2nd half, but they didnt run them against blitzes, which would be the best time to run them if you knew it was coming. And lots not forget about the last four minutes of that game.

Total Posts: 375 I don't know its certainly a possibiltiy. Its something that you question now, especially as an Eagle fan, although I'm sure Pats fans would say no way. But its funny how the Eagles defense was giving Brady and the Pats offense fits in the first half, in which the score was tied at 7. Then the Pats come out in the 2nd half and score immediately on the opening drive of the 2nd half and have much more success moving the ball in the 3rd and 4th quarter. Its ify with me, but I don't know who's to say that they didn't spy in that game. If they did it last weekend and did it last year vs Green Bay I would find it hard to believe that this hasn't been going on for a while now

Actually they did run a couple screens against our blitz in the 3rd quarter. I believe they ran 2 screens to Corey Dillon and one to Kevin Faulk. I'm gonna have to check out the tape but I'm sure the Eagles blitzed on one of those screens and as the announcers kept saying- the Patriots had the perfect play called. I do think they were the better team, but it just makes you wonder that's all. What if

Total Posts: 935 I dont think Brady was sacked ONE time in the 2005 playoffs....... Also in the BIG GAME I was told every time you guys blitzed they ran a screen pass or a blitz counter .... things that make you go mmmmmmmmm .... to me a championship isn't one if you dont win it with honor.... This just opened up a whole can of worms let me tell ya..... That could mean SB 39 and SB 40 were both bullchit..... SB 39 a team possibly cheated and SB 40 refs were paid off......

In that case Dallas has won seven super bowls because there was a tipped pass called that lost the game in SB V against the Colts that shouldn't have stood and Bennie Barnes was falsely called for pass interference in SB XIII.

Oh better make that 9 Super Bowl wins for Dallas, Bart Starr was clearly offsides during th icebowl so Dallas should've gone to and won SB II and Deion interfered with Irvin for the game tying TD in the NFC Championship and we all know the Chargers would've been done terrible things to.

So tell Philly we'll spot them one but it means we have 9 in stead of 5 if their logic stands.

Sad part is that they lost because McNabb was throwing up a little bit ..... not because of anything the Pats did.

If T.O. would have had Romo that day ..... he would have a ring right now.

I dunno, if they were in fact cheating that day, that very well could have shifted the outcome.. I say that because it was an incredibly close game.. all I know is, if the Cowboys were in the Eagles' shoes right now, I'd be pretty upset.. Yes, I hate the Eagles, but I can look at it with objective eyes..

You're such a loser homer.

If Mcnabb was the QB for the Cowboys now and TO was still an Eagle you would be saying it wasn't Mcnabb's fault.

Nah-if McNabb was our QB, there would be about 1000 posts throwing him under the bus by now(even more so than all our anti-Bledsoe threads).

And wow-Eagles fans are incredibly defensive, eh? What's with all the name-calling?

I predicted this yesterday! I knew those fools would use this as an excuse to claim a SuperBowl. But you know what? That's as close as they are ever going to get, period!

Remember the Cowboys 90's team. Many teams claimed that the knew what the Cowboys were going to do, but they JUST COULD NOT STOP THEM! Now, that is a team, not some stinking wanna be eagle team.

eagle fans >>> :tantrum: :cry2:  :cry2: "I want a SuperBowl Trophy...waaa-waaaa-wa,waaaa!! I want it, please, let me have one, please (sniff, sniff) waaaaaaaaaa-waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

Well, guess what Cowboy fans, this is going to be their mantra from now on! They are going to claim they got cheated even though McPuke blew chunks on the field, and Fat Andy forgot how to tell time...

Pathetic...and irrelevant!

I still disagree with you as far as the Eagles fans having a right to be upset (I don't think they should get the win though by the way), but The Godfather Trilogy are my favorite films of all-time (just check my avatar), so you forever have my respect because of this glorious post.

Oh contrare... I have admitted wanting Owens since his days in San Fran.

You will not find one post EVER that I would want McNabb here. I think he is somewhat of nice guy. But I dont like his play. His choking.

I dont get into name calling. Its a forum. The question is... what you say to someone in a forum... would you say it if you met them? I dont think so. Anyways...

"Loser homer" - I cant be. Its more fitting for an Eagles fan though. Think about... break it down and really think about.

All 3 of the Patriots' SB wins were very close, so should they be stripped from all of them?

That would mean that the Eagles are still no better than the Panthers in terms of SB wins. :lmao:

If we could turn back the clock and change the outcome of games we would have about 16 SB trophies by now.
