Eagles lose LB T.J. Edwards to the Bears

IMO seems like a deal in the 6-7mil range is fair to both sides for LVE.
Unless Dallas thinks that's a honest offer for Wagner.

Would we do this deal for LVE? This seems like the ballpark for him.
I would do it in a minute. And I think it is in the Cowboys range of payments. I don;t think they can get a better LB than LVE for that money.

But I think LVE is going to get more.

Bears do have the most cap space. I figured they would be active in free agency.

Difference is.

They have a FO that will AGGRESSVELY replace who they lose.
At least here, they are just going to hope last year's pick Dean can fill the void. They will not be aggressive in replacing Edwards. Despite Eagles fans thinking Howie is some wizard with the cap that just makes all cap hits disappear when he wants them to, the Eagles are up against it a bit and that's not including the reality they have a QB on a rookie deal who has to get paid soon.

If there is a GM to try to work through this mud pit, it's Roseman but even he's got his hands tied here. The cap never loses. You gotta pay the piper at some point.

Somehow. The Eagles will be more active than us in FA/trade market. You can pretty much mark that down.

Ehhhh, I've been called a closet Eagles fan with my defense of them but this year, I wouldn't be too sure on them being a lot more active than us. They really are up against the cap. The run off from the defense alone could be eye popping. I am not sure you'll see them bring in any big vets like they did last year with the Brown trade or the Reddick signing.

That's not to say we are somehow doing it as well. We clearly are not, but even the Eagles and their GM are seeing the harsh realities of a capped league.
