I've said that so many times it's only a matter of when$40 million a year for a defensive tackle.
QBs will be $100 million per year very soon.

Only Aaron Donald deserves this kind of money and he is NOT Donald
Yeah us cowboys fans are still waiting for that.May they burn in cap hell for all eternity![]()
It’s really just a matter of their revenue. Their salaries are going to keep increasing as long as revenue does.good googly wobbly
Oh well. I predicted this kind of contract madness back in 1993, when the owners and players union were hashing out this current CBA free agency/salary cap era. Simple economics. Buyer and seller. Supply and demand.
Don't know how much more outlandish professional sports athletes' contracts will get before my last day, but it will never be truly surprising.
In a world where defensive players are now making 48m$ a year, 40 isn’t close to Aaron Donald money anymoreOnly Aaron Donald deserves this kind of money and he is NOT Donald
Agreed. The league, like any industry, will eventually hit a breakeven point, but I personally do not foresee it happening. Much younger fans than I may witness it through--even with the never-ending efforts of the league to expand globally. It’s really just a matter of their revenue. Their salaries are going to keep increasing as long as revenue does.
I don’t foresee it slowing down anytime soon.
