Going into the packers game, i was more concerened about the approaching Dallas game then the GB game...but now i really feel confident that we will defeat the cowboys.
__________

I guarentee the cowboys are extremely worried about this game right now...and for just 47 rushing yards...Dmac just showed the entire world on Monday night that he is going to do whatever it takes to win even if that means doing it all by himself...This gives the cowboys one more very dangerous thing to worry about, it will change their rushing styles and perhaps even bring a man out of coverage to spy on him...Not to mention B west is back and he is tough enough to gameplan around....throw in McNabb running and they have a lot to worry about...
__________

Despite the fact that we had zero sacks last night, Drew bledsoe better be watchin his back on sunday, our D is gonna be more fired up then ever due to it bein TOs homecoming...and he is a statue...he cant avoid the pressure, they better max protect for him or he will be on his back....

Eagles 27 Cowboys 13

Here are a bunch of other responses...

Yea, McNabb running brings another part to the offense. And if Westbrook plays (in which he probably will), its going to create many mismatches.
About the Dline, they look bad last night statswise, but they still got some pressure, and it was mostly wasn't effective since Favre had quick releases.
__________

I am still worried about this game. Dallas is looking good, with no sign of the implosion, happening soon.
I agree with the point about McNabb running. It makes me nervous when he does, but he seems to run "smarter" than he did in the past. As long as the other team has to worry about him, he does not need to run, but as soon as they stop worrying, that is the time to run. I would love for teams to waste a defender "spying" him.
__________

I dont think Dallas is worried at all but I do agree on one thing. Mcnabb is pretty mobile and can make plays with his feet and he showed that yesterday.

If you look back at how Dallas Played the Titans you'll see how they played against a Mobile QB. They played more containment instead of pure pressure.

Mcnabb and the eagles might benefit from that if they do play D like that. But again we're not coaching so we dont know....Against the Commanders dallas brought the house a whole lot!...
__________

The Eagles should be worried about Dallas. All off season I have heard people talking about how the Dallas Offensive line is horrible and that they would not be able to protect Bledsoe. So far, the Dallas offensive line looks really good. Its time for the Eagles to step up and win the game because its a statement game. If the Eagles lose, you can flush any wet dreams about a SB appearance down the drain.
__________

I think the Eagles can pull this out and I'm pretty sure they will at home but lets not forget that Dallas is not San Fran or Houston or Green Bay. This is a really good football team we're playing.
__________

I don't think anybody is forgetting that Dallas is potentially dangerous.

OTOH, remember that before the Giants' game they were also supposed
to be dangerous--and the Eagles positively undressed them. Had the
Eagle kept the pedal to the metal (and not had some bad breaks), the
Giants would have gone down. The point is obvious--although Dallas
has played well thus far, the pro game is all about matchups--and we
can't really tell how they will match up against our guys until it happens.
__________

McNabb is far from unstoppable, people, and dallas D is good. I'm not scared one bit. Cowboys shouldn't be either. No, I recognize McNabb is a monster, but dallas has plenty of their own on both sides of the ball as well - least of all to mention that their no 2 reciever is better than your no 1.

It'll be a good game. Neither team, nor their fans, are scared at all. I saw plenty to like, especially during the first half, in that Greenbay game. Most of all the weakness in Philly D against such a bad offense.
__________

We were holding back. Dallas will have to deal with schemes and blitzes we haven't shown yet. Very vanilla defense last night. Dallas won't get that luxury. We will be coming from everywhere. Bledsoe is a very accurate passer with time. He will be tested with lots of pressure. They will have to keep TE's and backs in on every passing down. This is going to be the best Eagles/Cowboys game in a long time. Don't forget the emotion that this game will provide for the Eagles. That does help.
__________

They've got to jam both Glen and T.O. on the line. Bledsoe will be using short quick drops like Favre did most of the night and throwing underneath slants and crossing/rub routes. If they can jam the receivers and throw the timing off we'll get to bledsoe and the game is over.

Also, any word on the cowboys center and the cut above his eye? No starting center could be trouble for the cowboys. If it proves to be a factor, I'll setup a paypal account for Haynesworth and start sending him his blood money...literally. HAHAHAHAHA

Hmm. Some interesting responses in there. These Filthy fans seem to be pretty objective...can't say the same for most Deadskin posters.

i didn't know they had fans that were smart enough to make a website...isn't that the reason P-T is always here?

I can't wait till they try one of those Jim Johnson blitz packages and the Cowboys come out in the five WR set. Good luck defending them all then.

And I have a feeling the 'big hit' on TO that all Eagles fans say is impending will end much as it did the last time we had this conversation...

I hope they do that first play.

I suggest you don't put 'dallas' in any part of your username. It helps.

That is a sick comment. Even as deep as my hatred runs for anything Eagirl related, I'd never say anything like that. But look at the source of the comment.

Somebody remind everybody here that the Eagles are not the Titans.

And please tell Philly we aren't SF/Green Bay/Houston.

There once was a poster who went by "Bufford" ... I'm not sure if he's still around, but he was one of the few intelligent foreskins fans.

I think they took up a collection over at ES, and paid to have him killed... :D

I will be happy if we play hard and don't fall for the onside kick trick at any point in the game...

The cowboys didn't defend the Titans that way because they feared Young's running. They WANTED him to pass the ball. If they pressured him he'd do more running, less passing. By containing him, he was forced to put the ball in the air, which is what Dallas wanted. Obviously it paid off with a pair of INTs.

With McNabb, he can make plays with his legs, but you don't want him sitting back there with all day to throw either. He's no rookie making his first start, he can go through his progressions and find the open man. We have to put pressure on him, but we have to MAKE THE TACKLE when we get to him.

I think the Eagles defense will be so preoccupied with making sure TO doesn't beat them that Terry Glenn and Witten will have big days. Make no mistake. No matter what the coaches game plan will be, the players will be keying toward stopping TO.

Hmm, where have I heard that argument before? There seems to be a lot of intentionally holding back going on this year.
