Updating a previous report, the Philadelphia Eagles have officially announced they have terminated the contract of WR Freddie Mitchell. "We appreciate everything Freddie has contributed to the Eagles organization over the last four years," said head coach Reid. "By releasing him now, it gives him the opportunity for a new start with another team in the NFL."

When your first round pick doesn't even play out his rookie contract (and I'm not talking about a top 10 pick with a huge salary), you can't be happy. Looking back at that draft, their best pick was 6th rounder A.J. Feeley which netted them a high second round pick in this year's draft (Reggie Brown).
