Just heard on 610 WIP radio.

I didn't catch what the injury was, if anyone can find it. I think it's some kind of ankle thing.

Reid is known for running very physical camps. It looks like the Eagles are suffering the consequences.

(Physical camp + a little bad luck = trouble)

Eagles LG Todd Herremans could be out four weeks with a stress reaction above the arch in his foot.
The Birds can't wait to get out of Lehigh today. They've been decimated by injuries and this one will hurt badly. Nick Cole is expected to start in Herremans' place in the preseason opener. Their projected starting offensive line has yet to take a practice snap together - bad news for Donovan McNabb and the rest of the team's skill players.

Hopefully he doesn't end like Kosier did lasst year with a similar injury. I think 4 is conservative though I would say maybe 6 considering the type of abuse OL feet get in the trenches.

I can't remember a team having this many injuries before playing a single game.

No excuses though.

Good teams should be able to win regardless of how many injuries they have. At least, that's what we were told.

F-them. Nobody cut us any slack last year.
Hope Belicheck is in a bad mood tommorow night and plays the first team D hard. Like to see alot of blitzes against that makeshift eagles OL.

Just another notch in Little Donny McNubbs belt in coming up with EVERY REASON IN THE WORLD except for HIM as to why the Beagles haven't won a ring yet................and never will.

You know, the lame old song goes something like this:

"Gosh, you'd think that the Eagles under Reid and McNabb would won at least ONE by now. Umpteen NFC Championship games, and a SB appearance, and still get get over that hump." "Well, McNabb never had any recievers. Never had the right offensive line protection. Running game wasn't up to snuff. T.O. tweaked his psyche..........etc, etc, etc.........."

No one wants to talk about how the Eagles, Under Jim Johnson, have been a defensive beast for at least a decade. On par with Ravens and the Steelers for defensive accuman and excellence. Even Trent Dilpher and Brad Johnson can eek one out with a monster defense.

I predict that all that this Eagle "pre-season injury bug" will do is give McNubb another pass, and his pro-tractors will continue to proclaim his greatness. His detractors, well, thats a lot easier a bandwagon to jump upon. He's a bum. A second tier guy from the get go.

Screw McNabb. Screw Reid. Screw the Beagles. Maybe we'll get luck and half the O-Line will go down in pre-season, and McNubb will spend the next 17 weeks running for his life and getting the snot knocked out of him.

This sucks. I hate injuries just as much for other teams as opposed to ours.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Andy Reid said he's not worried about his team's recent spate of injuries. What else would you expect Big Red to stay? So we'll say it for him, the rash of injuries suffered by the Eagles through the first two weeks of training camp certainly isn't the type of start that a team "with the best roster" would envision on its way to a Super Bowl. Some of the hurts are minor, others cause greater concern. Reid gave his usual update this morning after practice.
The offensive line took another hit with tackle Todd Herremans sitting out the first session with an ankle injury. Reid said it was "not too much," and it looked that way when Herremans walked out of the locker room. The bigger problem is, pardon the pun, Shawn Andrews. Reid said the tackle was making progress, but we have no way of gauging that since Shawn continues treatment indoors. Reid did say that he can't predict when Shawn would return and if he'll even be back for the season opener. This impartial viewer says it's a loooonng shot. Reid said the Eagles were still monitoring Jon Runyan's recovery from knee surgery.
There was good news on the o-line. Tackle Jason Peters was able to participate in live drills, along with guard Stacy Andrews, who was back for the second straight day.
DeSean Jackson (knee) did not practice, but Reid said the wide receiver would have if it wasn't for the wet conditions. Jackson, defensive end Victor Abiamiri (pectoral muscle), defensive tackle Trevor Laws (hamstring) and tight end Matt Schobel (calf) worked out with the training staff.
The tight end position took a hit yesterday with the news that rookie Cornelius Ingram re-tore his ACL. He'll rehab with linebacker Stewart Bradley, who also tore his ACL last week. The Eagles brought in rookie free agent Rob Myers to help out at tight end. He looks small. Reid said that fullback Leonard Weaver is being kept apprised of the tight end position. He played some tight end in college.

Funny, Reid is known for tough camps and the Eagles always play their best ball late in the year.

Wade is known for "soft" camps (although I think that's BS) and his teams fly out of the gate and falter down the stretch.

*edit* Yay 3000 posts

It's really done wonders for their superbowl count.

Let me run down their list real quick:

Cornelius Ingram, done for the season.

Stewart Bradley, done for the season

Herriman out for 2-4 weeks.

Kevin Kolb, sprained left MCL

Hank Baskett, hyper extended right knee

Trent Cole, sprained left knee

Shawn Andrews, undisclosed back injury that has kept him out of every snap during camp

Victor Abiamiri

Trevor Laws

Matt Schobel

Jason Peters, now practicing

Stacey Andrews, now practicing

DeSean Jackson, now practicing.

All of that, without even a single solitary preseason snap taken? Their starting offensive line has yet to take a snap together?

Feel sorry for them, I really do. For their fans suck on it, but I feel for the team and the players affected.

But it's early in camp, and they could be back by the 1st game, or some of them. I haven't kept up on the injuries. So don't know how serious any of them are.
