Why do the Cowboys suck so bad we need this thread?
IMO you answered your own question.

The cowboys have become the eagles of the 1970's (not as bad but most likely driving the fans crazy, which could have been the reason why Eagles fans really aren't really "nice" LOL).

I decided to read up on the history of the last 3 owners of the Eagles ending with Laurie. Didn't know Laurie bought the team from Braman for 185 million in 1994, where Braman bought it from Tose in 1984 for 65 million.

Read up on Tose and Braman (I just did this morning). Reading up on both former owners, there is striking similarities between both of them and Jerry Jones.

After the commanders season (added I live in NC and HAVE to be familiar with David Tepper LOL), I'm convinced who the owner is of a NFL team and how they handle their football operations decides how successful the team is (my definition of success is making the playoffs and getting a shot in the superbowl).

That said, perhaps the Cowboy's biggest issue is they don't flame out and lose. They stay somewhat competitive and may reach a playoff game year to year which keeps them somewhat relevant, added the fact that Jerry Jones does not need or want to sell (unlike Tose and Braman) because the cowboys are Americas team and they are the most valued NFL franchise in the world.

Out of curiosity

Eagles record from 1970 to 1999 / 127-158-6
Eagles record from 2000-2024 / 242-160-2
Cowboys record from1970-1999 285-171 (with a run of 105-35 in 70's)
Cowboys win loss record from 2000-2024 186-138

I hate the Eagles with a passion, it would be nice if their team dissolved and disappeared. So, Chiefs for me.

Go chiefs

Doesn’t matter to me

I couldn’t even watch the last two super bowls the eagles were in.

But the Jones’ have beaten my fandom down so bad that it doesn’t bother me anymore.

Braman was a straight up money hungry ***. He's the reason Reggie White went to Green Bay--too cheap to pay him. Buddy Ryan ripped Braman publicly. Tose was a very likable guy that let booze and gambling bring him down. Tose sending Howard Cosell drinks before and during MNF, and Cosell getting so drunk he threw up on Don Meredith's boots is classic MNF.

A Chiefs victory, which I suspect will be the case, is a not so subtle reminder of how far away the Cowboys are from being NFL champions.

I mean chiefs , but we still lose cred due to being caught by yet another team at 5 SB's.

True but I will say what Barkley has done this year is well beyond what I expected out of him.
it is BUT they handled CMAC and others..SB has bene exceptional this year but the right plan can at least slow him down. His backbreaker is 1-2 big chunk yards eliminate those, and hes just good...its not secret it should be the primary focus but expect KM to get cute early try and act like they will pass early and go against trends but then switch back to try and fool spags but doubt it works..

they've faced Henry plenty, so they will have plan...

I think you nailed it with your last comment. The Cowboys are valued at over $3 Billion more than the next team (oddly, the Rams) and $4 Billion more than the Eagles. Probably a lot also has to do with the annual revenue, where the Cowboys bring in $400 million MORE than any other team. It's a cash cow, even if the milk is mostly rancid.

I hope the worst case of Norovirus hits both teams right before kick-off and that it sets off the biggest barf-o-rama in history.

The only player to rush for over 100 yards against the Chiefs this season was Lamar Jackson in the first regular season game.

I'm going to hope for a great game between two great teams. If the Eagles win, that's more embarrassment that Jones has to choke on. If the Chiefs win, then the Eagles didn't, and that's fine too.

I’m a cowboy fan lifetime, yes I’m going for the Eagles, that’s how bad the Kansas City Chiefs are. They have the football gods referees in their back pocket, and I can’t believe I buy into that propaganda, but it’s so obvious it’s ridiculous. Screw Patrick Mahomes, he’s not the best not even close, the media wants a lover boy because they lost Aaron Rodgers and they chose him and that’s all there is to it
DId you have a crush on Brittany in high school and get ignored because of Patrick or something?

Your hatred of him seems very personal and not rational. It runs very deep and has been going on a long time. Something wrong there, dude.

I just don’t think he’s the best out there. And I don’t think it’s even close. I take the Bengals quarterback, the bills quarterback, Washington’s quarterback. Hell I even take the Texans quarterback.
