That is a huge blow. New Orleans could surprise Philly with both Lane and Maddox out. Davis out potentially with concussion.

This next game is must win for NO.

I'm thinking that the game can go either way. Philly has a huge issue with Johnson out and they are under a lot of pressure.

Philly is under pressure for the one seed regardless of what the Cowboys do. They play at noon on Sunday versus the Saints, while SF and Min play later in the day.

The Jags loss is even more frustrating now. The Cowboys could've been the #1 seed. It's highly unlikely we take the #1 seed but the division is still in play.

SF still has a chance at the one seed if the cards fall right. With all due respect, I don’t subscribe to your theory on precautionary holdouts sir. Let’s see what happens this weekend.
Yep, it's certainly a week-to-week process given the nature of the players and their injuries.

What if Hurts doesn't have to play because the Cowboys lost to the Titans on Thursday?

If the Titans rest their starters, the Cowboys have no business at all losing to them. But this is the Cowboys who loves making things more difficult than they need to be for themselves.

This player was once suspended for PEDs. It wouldn’t surprise me if he makes a fast recovery that defies science!
He got screwed on his 10-game one. He took a substance that was approved but was found to have a peptide that was not on the approved list. He got bad info and paid the price for it.

They are crippled without Johnson. His loss changes everything. Even if Philly wins the division, they will likely lose in the playoffs without Johnson.

It will be interesting to see how well the Eagles are able to adapt to the loss of key players from the line up. No excuses.

It hurt them badly in a game in which they weren't prepared to replace him. They've been very good at substitutions, so I wouldn't plan on his loss being as big a factor as it seems...but I hope you're right.

A banged up Hurts and Lane Johnson not being able to play isn't the ideal situation for Philly. Wonder if Lane being out will impact their decision to play Hurts on Sunday against the Saints. The Eagles now have to balance whether or not they want to rest Hurts or if they want to risk him making his shoulder injury worse by playing him in the next couple of games.

That o-line is not the same without Johnson. He's just that damn good. An untimely injury and the PED suspension robbed him of two all-pro teams. He probably lost the HoF because of that, but he is certainly HoF caliber. I wish we had him the past 10 years. Him and Zack on the right side would have destroyed any d-line.

Why I asked about PO because that is not a 2 or 3 weeks and then all of a sudden I am good to go.
I had an abdominal strain a few years ago. It took months before I felt 100% to do anything. I could barely push a shopping cart without grimacing in pain. That was a strain, Johnson has a torn tendon in the abdominal area. I'm sure those DE and LB are a lot heavier than a shopping cart.
In my defense of not sounding like a wuss. The shopping cart had a bad wheel

That right tackle was bad whenever he came in in the past. I've watched him play before. The drop off is huge. Kind of like if we were playing Josh Ball.

They are still a contender no matter what. They certainly have a shot and we will get some good games in the playoffs. The Cowboys will be hard to beat.
