Fresh off a championship, many will anoint the Eagles as the NFC favorite. Obviously a lot depends on the off season FA signing, draft and health. But articles over the last month have pointed out the roster and the players signed up thru 2020. I don't rush to agree with the premise that they are stacked. Wentz looks like a franchise QB, that's a given. Cox and Jenkins you can argue as being the best in their positions, although pushing 30+....Ertz to a degree....But I don't get the love for Jernigan, Kelce, Darby, Ajayi.....good players that 6 months ago were highly thought of....all dispensable by their prior teams for the most part...I take it with a grain of salt the media and their love affair, but ask what do u think?? Dynasty in the making or Good team that had a hell of a year!!

they'll be impacted by f/a just like everybody else.
heavy is the head that wears the crown.
tremendous in the trenches...but lets not start the dynasty crap.

Getting a first for Bradford was key, they basically added to key 1st rounders last year in Barnett and Sidney Jones who will be ready to go next year. Guys like Darby, jernigan and Ajai are solid players who make them stronger and deeper! Signing Alshon Jeffries was huge! Hes a true beast of a wr and catches everything thrown newr him, he changed their offense drastically imo!

I don't think the Cowboys are as good as the Eagles in any aspect. We may have a few better individual players at certain positions but when you look at how they fare as a whole, I give the Eagles the edge in pretty much everything.

Coaching: Eagles, no explanation needed
QBs: Eagles
Running game: Cowboys but it's closer than you'd think. Zeke is better than any Eagles RB but their combination of Blount, Ajayi, and Clements works just as effectively.
Receivers (WR and TE): Eagles. Ertz is a Top-5 TE, probably even Top-3. You see how he can get open 1 on 1 outside vs. a DB, Witten can't do that anymore. They also get good production out of Trey Burton. The WRs are comparable but given what we're paying Dez, if the Eagles are getting similar production from their cheaper WRs, give them the edge.
Offensive Line: Eagles. Both teams have invested a lot and have great players. The difference maker is obviously the Eagles' ability to continue to be great when their LT gets injured.

Defensive Line: Eagles, don't even need to explain this
LBs: Eagles. Lee is better than any Eagles LB but their play as a whole unit is superior to the Cowboys, especially since they were able to weather the storm when their starting MLB went out.
Secondary: Eagles. Their CBs are the weakness of their defense just like our CBs have never been great either but Malcolm Jenkins is a stud safety that we are still searching for. And the interceptions numbers are not even close.

Kicker: Eagles. Their kicker just made clutch kicks in the playofffs (7/7) while Dan Bailey is recovering from an injury and looked shaky when he came back so who knows how he'll be in the future.
Punter: Even. Both are good punters, if you want to give the edge to Chris Jones since he's younger then fine

They are in a decent position but most of their players are fungibles. Wentz down... no problem Foles in. Peters down... no problem Hawaiian kid in. Hicks down... no problem dude from the PS in. Sproles down... no problem clement in.

They are extremely stacked. They have an incredible offense, defense and coaching staff.
They are 4mil over the cap as of now. they sold out for a title this yr. and will get broken up by the cap as the broncos were after their title. if you look at their roster their stuck in nomans land with the contracts that they just dished out. 7 guys take up roughly 50% of their cap in 2018. And only get worse from there with Cox costing the team 22mil in 2019. With his 2018 17.9 mil already fully guaranteed. Not to mention 19mil in 2019 will be guaranteed because he will be on the roster come march 3rd this yr. So there really isnt any wiggle room. Eagles sold out on a gamble and it paid off, but like Dallas has learned all this money thats been promised is going to have to be paid sooner rather than later and it starts this yr for the eagles and only gets worse.

Just a better coached team. It will remain that way until 1) Jerry grows a brain 2) Moves on from this earth 3) Sells the team 4) Gives up the GM role.

Fasten the seat belts. This is going to be a long rough ride.

They are 10m OVER the cap and now have to pay the SB Tax

SEA, CAR, ATL were all going to be unstoppable forces too

The Eagles also have one pick at 32 out of the first 130 choices because of the Wentz and Ajayi trades. Everyone is a dynasty after the Super Bowl win but no one ever repeats.

While true and all good points, they're so stacked and deep, they can likely afford to lose a couple guys and still be an incredibly good team.

They have a great young QB, the best oline in the league, one of the best RB's, arguably the best total WR group, a top defense and an incredible coaching staff. And that isn't even getting into their depth.

This was a magical year for the Eagles. And maybe this is the start of a "dynasty", but there was no shortage of talking heads and fans that were saying the same about the Cowboys and Raiders after 2016. And the Panthers after 2015. In today's NFL, teams get on a run and things just come together at a moment in time. But FA, injuries, scheduling all work against a dynasty. That's what makes the Patriots so incredibly unique.

No team has repeated as NFCE champs since 2004. Maybe the Eagles will break that streak, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it. I wouldn't even bet the barn on it. Same with the Rams.

Yea I don’t see them as stacked. They got hot and just played inspired well coached ball at the right time. I won’t be surprised if they struggle to make the playoffs next season.

Pederson is a great coach. I fear with him there and Wentz we may be looking at another Brady/Belichick thing with a period of prolonged success.

They are seriously an awesome coaching staff.

It's year to year now. Pederson and McVay look like the hot OC/HC's but you never know. The Gents collapsed last year, as did we. Jacksonville looks like world beaters now. NO came out of no where as well.
