Correct.It's just simple physics, the ball will continue forward at the same speed Wilson was running when he pitched it. It doesn't matter if he pitched it backwards, the ball was caught ahead of the pitch point. It's an illegal forward pass.
It would have needed to be pitch well behind him while moving forward for the balls velocity not to project forward from the point he threw it.
