Eagles secret weapon

I think that is a stretch. Most on here remember Jimmah Johnson and I'd say a real good portion were around in Tom Landry's heyday. I 'd say those 2 were adept at "coaching", wouldn't you?

I'll give you those and BP even though he was on the way out

Many fans on this forum became cowboy fans after jimmy left.

I think Jimmy Johnson was just a good coach. That's all you needed with those teams you had. But he was a great motivator and an all-time talent evaluator.

His coaching didn't exactly do a lot for the Dolphins, and even Switzer was able to piggy back off of him for a few years in Dallas.

Coaching

Look it up
Most Cowboy fans don't know what it is
Wait a minute, wait a minute! Isn't a coach the dude that stands in front of the media for an interview, lies about players actual injuries and won't talk about what went wrong during the game?

Damn straight - you're never too old, or too cool, to get motivated by ice cream.

as Much eating as Doug seems to like . Zeke would be in heaven, he would get carpal tunnel :p

He didn't have to. His coaching career started in 1965 & he was ready to call it quits.

Jimmy not only won 2 SB titles in 5 yrs with the Cowboys he also won a National Championship with the Hurricanes in only 5 years prior Jerry hiring him.

Coincedently, he was the HC for both of those teams only 5 years. Jimmy was the first & one of only three football coaches to lead teams to both a major college football Championship & a Super Bowl victory, the others being Switzer & Carroll.

IMO, that's an outstanding accomplishment & he'll definitely be remembered as a great coach not "just a good coach". Who do you think built "those teams you had"? Cowboys were 1-15 prior to Johnson's hiring.

its more then just that. It starts at the owner , GM , Scouting , HC , OC , DC , Assistants, and positional coaches. The Eagles dont have an owner that insists that he is part of the day to day operation. If someone is not doing their job they would be let go.
And let's not forget about the Ice Cream though. That stuff will motivate!
