I really didn't want to start a thread over this observation, but I couldn't find an existing thread where it fit.

I really get tired of the Eagles players holding the ball up in the air when they're running. I saw it at least twice last night...

1) When McNabb made his TD run. He was around the 10, and he still had one player to make a move on, yet he holds the ball up like an idiot.

2) When Michael Lewis (I think) got that INT late in the game, he holds the ball up during the return.

I don't usually have a problem with holding the ball up when you're on like the 5 yard line, going in for the TD with no one around you. But to do it when you're not guaranteed to score is ********.

In an ideal world, I would like to see McNabb do it this week, when he doesn't see Roy coming around the corner to lay his helmet straight in his chest.

It just seems those guys seem to be showboating at the wrong times, and they should PAY!! :D

I don't like it either...

Juke regularly does that when he's about to finish a post...

LOL. But back to the tread, McNabb did seem to do that a little early.

What i really dont get is a team that talks about superbowl, celebrating a come from behind win against a team that is very bad, in their own house and then acting like, look at me, i'm amazing when you are beating a team whose defense is really down and out, and everyone knows they are bad.

Starting to see this more and more this year for some reason. The self proclaimed "Deion" of this generation - DeAngelo Hall from ATL. does that crap anytime he gets his hand on it.

Deion did it against either the Giants or the Eagles in the late 1990's. He intercepted a ball around mid field, starting running for a TD, and held up the ball at the 50 to let everyone know that he had it...and he still ran the other 50 yards to score a TD.

I have less of a problem with that than I do with guys dancing around after making a tackle especially when the team is 0-3 like the Titans did Sunday. One time we gained 6-7 yards on first down and the Titan that tackled our player jumped up and danced around like he had done something good.

That I can handle.

What is ridiculous to me, is Trotter making a tackle after a 3 yard gain, and having a seizure - followed by Dhani Jones makeing a tackle for no gain, and playing his air ukelele.

Hardcore playmakers, there.

Nothing wrong as far as I can tell w/ the Eagles being excited about mediocrity. I hope they are just as joyous when we roll over them.:D

McNabb likes to showboat. He was doing a lot of it during last year's MNF game. A lot of laughing in the huddle, doing his Michael Jackson dance in the endzone after a score etc.

Guess what? In an ideal world he threw the ball directly into the waiting arms of one Roy Williams and got demolished by Bradie James on the runback.

I hope to see more of his showboating this Sunday, for about 5 minutes....

Ahh, yes... good point. I just want the D to shut him up. Maybe that did it.

I agree with most of that.

I don't know why they did that. At first, I thought Mcnabb had no one near him. Then you see Hawk come into the screen and I just thought that was just a dumb thing to do.

Michael Lewis too. I couldn't really tell if he had room to run it down the field more, since he turned to the sidelines. I thought there was only slow linemen to beat. I guess not.

c'mon pep. Surely you can find something else to get you amped for this game. That's nothing. You'd love it if Bledsoe did the same thing. Except Bledsoe would be moving a lot slower. :D
