EAGLES SHUT DOWN McNABB

A day after Eagles qb Donovan McNabb downplayed the condition of a shoulder that, per media reports, left him “very limited” in minicamp practice, the Eagles have shut him down for the balance of the week, due to tendonitis (or, as the case may be, tendinitis) in his shoulder.

Kevin Kolb will work with the first-team offense in McNabb’s absence.

The injury reportedly is the result of lifting weights.

That bears watching.

If his shoulder is giving him problems during OTA's, I could see it getting worse under the stress of training camp.

Could be that it's only a temporary thing too....

Regardless, I think this is his farewell tour in Philadelphia.

They oughtta get an MRI on that shoulder right quick to rule out a rotator cuff tear.

Oh,crap! The Eagles might be good this years if Kolb starts. Remember Garcia? I hope McFlab is good to go, so that the can give the Skins a run for the cellar.

I think so too. Very easy to do it lifting weights if you're coming off inactivity and in the off season that is plausible.

That would seem like the common sense thing to do.

But then so does them getting a receiver........

:lmao:

Please I'm THRILLED with the idea of Kolb being the guy. Another Houston QB washout. He's Colt Brennan and David Carr and David Klingler and anyone of the tons on tons of useless QBs that have come through that WACC BS conference.

Kolb will suck. Suck badly. And that, for us, is great.

Burning a first on Freddy Mitchell must have really done it for them.

I don't think McNabb would mind being out of Philly at all.

If Kolb well in the minicamps that Philly media is gonna start up a QB controversy right quick.

I wouldn't doubt it. I have tendonitis in my right shoulder and it really, really sucks to have. McNabb obviously gets far better medical care for his shoulder, but I'm still not sure how a QB can play effectively with it.
