Lol, They are concerned about their linebackers.
If linebackers and running backs were the difference between victory and defeat they’d be the most sought after and highest paid players on the every team’s roster. Whoever the Eagles linebackers were last year it didn’t matter. They did not win the Super Bowl. 30 other teams, all with linebackers, can say the same thing Philly can.

They are the Eagles.

The Eagles often look pathetic to start a season. However, I think the Eagles understand better than most that it is a long season.

They can look dead and buried for the majority of a season before a December winning streak that barely nudges them into the playoffs. They can't win it all, but you can bet they can screw up somebody else's chance to do so before making their own exit.

Never trust the severity of "bad news" when it's the Eagles in August. Never be encouraged by negative reports about their current state.

There have been Eagles players that were listed as "out" for weeks only to crawl out of their death beds to play the best game of their career against the Cowboys.

I honestly doubt that they are cooked… Isn’t Jack like 26?
LBs are the RBs of the defense. Most are done physically after a handful of seasons due to taking on linemen who easily have 80 pounds on them if not more. Jack turns 28 soon and is going into his 8th season with a knee that continues to give him problems. Also everything I read on him was he was terrible last season in Pittsburgh.

yes the Eagle fans are melting down. I luv watching filthy 500 have a coronary over Dean being a bust. Mark Holmes is loving it as well. They are frantic trying 2 find a guy at LB. They are woefully thin there and undertalented. AS THEY SAY, KN0W Y0UR ENEMY. I think we can take advantage using the TE guys we have. They must rely heavily on, their dline. Because behind them, its kinda thin. I check in every now and again in the YT to see how the filthy Iggle channel guys are reacting and its priceless. A few are in denial, but many are havin fits. Im luving it. Now can we take advantage? They ab0ut t0 find 0ut what its like this year having a target 0n THEM f0r a change.Much is expected after they made it 2 a SB. My $ is 0n them struggling. BTW my "0" key is broken... Time 2 get a new computer I guess. There's that...;)

We’ve got some here calling Schoon a wasted draft pick and dude hasn’t even gotten through his first training camp yet, lol
its the fans that never wanted him. Typical bs. I think it will take 2-3 years but he will be fine. He might take the Dalton Schultz route. I think Fergie might also be apart of his slow development as well. Lack of work maybe...and his health. Its a very talented TE r00m.

If you believe what's posted in this thread, the Eagles lost Hargrove, who was making the LBs better. And the loss of Edwards and White just decimated the LBing position. If these things are as true as the benevolent football scholars on our forum proclaim, we should easily beat the Eagles and at a minimum..win the NFC East.

This is a little over the top lol. It’s way too soon to label Dean a bust. He has a minor ankle injury. They also cut a guy at LB and they have preseason games to play. They simply need bodies right now. There is no guarantee these two that they signed both make the final roster.

It’s a bit much to say a team is frantic over the position group that they clearly value the least to begin with. There’s also plenty of time. Season doesn’t start for a month. When they decide they need an improvement, Howie will make a move. It would likely be a trade.

He’s cooked. Jags said no thanks, Steelers said no thanks one year after a two year deal.

Set aside the name value attached to Jack and he’s largely under-performed his lofty expectations recently, managing only 1.5 sacks over the previous four seasons and allowing opponents to catch 41 passes for 363 yards and three touchdowns in his primary coverage in 2022.

He’s actually visiting the Saints today. Crazy how these guys still get interest lol
I remember when George Steinbrenner signed Rocky Colavito to play RF for the Yankees. He was way past his prime and probably done but Steinbrenner signed the name, not the player. I think some people get fooled by the name of players who used to be good hoping they have 1 more year in them. Then they make the bogus claim that the veteran brings leadership to the locker room and it benefits the younger players. I think the opposite. The vets keep the younger guys off the field and they cannot get better if they do not gain real game experience.

Wasn’t Dean a third round draft choice? Not many Hall of Fame LBs getting selected in the third round in recent years.
