I agree. But for the most part most of FA is not about difference makers, most of the players available are bridge players at best. There are some bridge players I wished they would have picked up but ultimately I agree with not spending a lot in FA but I disagree with not spending anything either.

Just about every super bowl champ in recent memory outside of NE was built through active free agency.
