Philly was a force before last year......how soon we forget....

Philly being a force in 2000, 2001, 2002, etc. was, I believe, more a function of Dallas, Washington and NY being crappy teams than simply Philly being dominant.

Don't get me wrong, those Eagles teams were pretty good, but the rest of the division was very weak back then. The Quincy Carter and Dave Campo led Cowboys and the Steve Spurrier led Commanders... c'mon. Philly had a cakewalk through the East back then. Now, with Dallas, Washington and NY all being good teams, even if Philly became just as good as they were in 2003, they would have a hard time in this division. This ain't 2003 and the rest of the teams in the East ain't pushovers anymore.

This division is going to be damn good and we're going to beat each other up all year long.

what ground needs to be gained on the giants?we split with them last year and they only beat us the second time because flozell was hurt.

yall are overrating the skins and the giants BIG TIME.

all 4 teams are even at this point if u want to be honest.all the games will be close toss ups.

all 4 teams can finish at the top or at the bottom of the nfce PERIOD.

You mean like when everyone predicted that the Skins would be in fourth place last year and I predicted that they would make the playoffs. You've got blue tinted glasses.

Who have they lost.....Owens and then who?.....simon...

I hate the Eagles....but they will rebound from last year.

it wouldn't shock me one bit to see Dallas in the cellar in this division.

This is the toughest division in football.

It's always nice to hear an objective voice. You should call yourself, Reality. We had a very pedestrian draft and we didn't make the playoffs last year. Everyone in our division got noticeably better except us, so it's going to be a long season.

Philly wasn't a pushover in 2003, they won the division, yet we beat them. We only beat them last year because they were beat up. Everybody beat them last year.

Philly will be much improved from last year, if for no other reason that McNabb and Westbrook will be back and healthy.

But, even before McNabb was hurt, their OL was struggling, and Winston Justice and Giles are not going to fix it this year. The D was never the same last year either. Darren Howard will help some, but he is injury prone, having not played a full 16 games in 4 years. And Buckley will help, but you don't go from goat to great with just twos two players, it will be a few years before they get their D back to what it was before.

Will Philly be better, absolutely. But, they will still not be as strong as they were 2 or 3 years ago.

There is no doubting that this NFC east division will be a dog fight......it doesnt get any better than that.

Im just trying to keep my hopes at a even keel.....I dont think and didn't think we are a kicker away from being a playoff team....I think this team still has alot of holes and im not convinced that the coaching on this team is up to par with the coaching in this division.....JMHO.

I really hope our young players like JJ and Ware...Spears...Canty...blossom into impact players....at least JJ and Ware....if so....we might see some success this year...

No, our draft was not pedistrian. Our draft was very solid, though not spectaular just because there were not any spectacular players for us to draft.

But, we did help ourselves tremendously in the offseason.
Terrell Owens will do wonders to our WR corps, and have Vanderjagt would have easly won us a couple of more games last year. And Flozell Adams being back will help tremendouly also.

This division will be a dog fight, with any one of the three teams being very capible of winning the division.

yea right.the last thing i am is bias.Im just saying all 4 teams are pretty equal and if my team is on par with 3 other teams im gonna put our team on top just because they are my team. I wouldnt call that having blue tinted glasses so much.

what makes the giants and skins better than us?if u watched the games last year they dominated us in the second games we played due to no flozell.lets be real.

we made that dude renaldo wynn or whatever his name is look like reggie white.with flozell playing last year in week 2 i dont recall anything but that horrendous holding call to seal the game.

bottom line.this whole division is a toss up but of course im gonna give the edge to dallas.

if i was a betting man i would say

1.dallas
2.washington
3.giants
4.eagles

Philadelphia's draft reminds me of the Cowboys' '02 draft without the sure thing (Williams) at the top of it.

Grabbing a bunch of "name" players simply because they have a "name" has never proven to be successful.

This is the toughest division in football.

They lost Hollis Thomas, 2 starting Olineman, Nd Kalu.... In otherwords, A LOT OF their Superbowl/NFC title losing squads. The league doesn't wait for teams to rebuild, and that IS what they (the Eagles) have to do. Andy Reid is a soft coach (how many times does he give his squad days off), and his team is getting lazy. Look at how they play in the crunch... The NFCE isn't the same as it was when the Eagles went to 4 straight NFC title games, and the birdies were destined to start falling, remember the Bills anyone?? Seriously though, the East is going to be intense:shoot2: , and I am afraid of the Commanders the most. If the oline can hold up we'll be on top, and if they don't, don't watch sportscenter, 'cause all you'll hear about is T.O.:shatfan:

Not sure how you can say we aren't noticeably better.

TO, Vanderjagt, healthy Adams, healthy Rivera, Carpenter and Ware, Spears and Canty have a year under their belts. A year in with the 3-4. I notice lots of improvement..

great draft by the beagles. too bad they let corey simon go last year and their RT this offseason otherwise they would'nt have needed bunkley & justice. no WR help will hurt McNabb a lot. can't wait for our new and improve defense rushes mcnabb on passing downs. we'll kill him

Holis Thomas? Kalu?.....wasnt Thomas traded yesterday.....Kalu is a dime a dozen... Kavita Pittman clone.

Howard is twice the player Kalu is.....The Dt they drafted in the first round will make all Eagles fans forget Thomas........You think we are excited about getting Carpenter....The Eagles are going crazy about Bunkley.

Their OL may be rebuilding but IMHO....its still miles ahead of ours and McNabb unlike Bleadsoe.....can buy time.

Dont get me wrong....I hate the Eagles more than any NFL club other than the NFL darlings the 49's.

But the Eagles are far from rebuilding.....their all-pro players are still in their prime.

We will see soon enough.....
