Eagles trade 6th overall pick to the Dolphins

That's a fair criticism. I probably would have stayed at 12, personally, but this does give them a shot at one of the top 3 non-QBs in the draft. They'll end up with either Chase, Sewell, or Pitts, depending on what Atlanta and Cincy do.
While I agree....why make that trade now though? Why not wait until the draft and see how things play out? Can you imagine if the Cowboys trading a 1st rounder to move to the 10th spot to get Lamb when if they waited they could've sat back and watch him fall to #17?

But hey Dolphins seem to have a plan in motion. I'll give them that.

So if this is the case then you are essentially saying you have zero faith in Hurts. After saying you had zero faith in Wentz. After saying you had zero faith in Doug Peterson. AFTER Howie Roseman made the remarks they were a "QB Factory" lol. They have absolutely no idea what they are doing from the looks of things or they are trying to right some wrongs. The wrongs they created.

Its interesting though because this isn't a 3 QB draft. There's about 5 guys projected to go in the 1st round. I think about 4 projected to be potential top 10 picks between Lance, Lawrence, Wilson, Fields......seems like they would've had their shot at at least 2 of them?
Rappoport made it sound like they only wanted Lawrence or Wilson out of the QB’s.

Depends on what you need. Outside of QB's, Sewell, Chase, and Pitts are definitely worth trading up for. Sewell is a potential All Pro and Chase and Pitts are potential triple digit reception guys

However for us, there is no reason to move up in this draft

I'm not trading two 1st round picks for a wide receiver or tight end. I just can't. I wouldn't even do it for Sewell. To me that's what you do for a Quarterback potentially.

For a future first, I agree with you. However as far draft compensation, future 1st's are value the same as 2nd rounders in the current ( not saying I agree with it, I think its wonkey) For a second rounder, I would move up for one of those guys if thats what I needed

what if the eagles trade all of their draft picks this year and the 2 1st rounders and their 2nd rounders next year to get Lawrence :omg:
If they pull that off wow. Not sure that's even enough ammo to move to number 1.

That's even more reason not to do it. While that 1st rounder's value is a 2nd rounder this year by next year it will have more value.

Yeah I don't think they are getting Lawrence....but maybe they can do it all to get Watson if he can get these charges under control?

The Jags and Jets won’t trade out.

I think it is very possible that Pitts is sitting there at 10.
if so Jerry has to draft him. I would pick him over Surtain and Farely (especially with back surgery already).

Only tough choice would be between Pitts and Micah Parsons (if both make it to 10).
Parsons would help the defense especially the crappy run defense. Pitts would take the offense to a new level and will allow us to move on from Gallup or Amari if need to to save cap next year. (I doubt we let Amari go).
Pitts would be dynamic at TE and a chess piece.

Thats why Im saying I wouldnt make a trade for a future first. I think that valuation of current to future picks is whacked.

However for current second round, if I needed a WR or an OT, I would make that move

I think Farley is out of it at 10. I think he ends up closer to the back end of the first now

I hope Watson doesn't end up in the NFC East. I really hope he don't end up a Washington Football Team member. With that defense a QB like Watson could take them far.

I mean the good news about getting these type of guys is that you have to trade draft capital to get them and its been shown that it rarely works. So if they want to trade 3 1st round picks to get these guys then I say go for it. If Watson won 4 games with the Texans with those weapons I'm not sure how much more he can do to help the Commanders and Eagles.

For a 1st and 2nd? I'd do it to trade up. Well I actually wouldn't' do it but I'd understand doing it. I honestly don't want any part of trading up in the 1st round. It just seems like it rarely works for whatever reason.

depending on how the draft shakes out i could see another wr....
Funny you say that...I recorded the Alabama pro day...Jaylon Waddle....just screamed over kill for us...going with 4 wr sets...coming off an ankle injury...just like Dak....oh the coincidences.
