A team with no recievers trades one of those recievers. Doesn't make sense. And before someone says it no I don't think it's cause they want to try and resign TO.

So if they can get a 5th for Lewis...we couldn't get a 5th-6th for RW?

Jerry's negotiation skills need some work, seems like he only makes good deals during the draft, which is still better than most.

When was the last time we actually made out in a trade involving players?

Yeah, you wouldn't trade Stanback for a 5th rounder right now?

What does that have to do with Greg Lewis being traded to the Pats?

What does that have to do with my reply?

Is Greg Lewis not JAG?

Epic fail.

Lewis was not going to the media asking to be released. As I have said before, JJ has the respect of all players because he doesn't keep disgruntled players around. He respects them and moves on. Players around the league take note of this and it is no small coincidence that in interview after interview players say they want to come here.

I've watched many Eagles games, and I don't really think Greg Lewis is JAG.

He definitely had lots of chemistry being around the Eagles for awhile.

AND, I believe he caught a TD pass in their 2004 superbowl. So it's not like he's a bad guy.

I'm not really sure why they needed to trade him, but I think that they trust their WR core very much right now, with a solid player in Curtis, speedster in Jackson, and the big fade route guy in the endzone player in Baskett. Plus they have Avant, who arguably has the best hands on their team.

I guess it comes down to roster churning and who they felt was the worst player in that group.

You knucklehead, I was agreeing with you as to why the Eagles traded Lewis. I just quoted you to show I agreed.

He had 247 yards receiving last year.

265 the previous year.

348 the year before that.

That's pretty JAG looking to me.

Chances are if the Pats are giving up a 5th for him, they see something in the guy.

Probably be the next Moss.

I getcha, but he's a pretty decent WR.

He's the #5-6 receiver, so getting even that many yards isn't too bad.

He's definitely close to JAG, but he's also never been given many opportunities.

I would say that the Eagles WR corps isn't as terrible as people make it out to be, but I know what I'd be in for. :p:
