By rule, aren't there supposed to be 7 men on the line of scrimmage? I only count 6 unless the ref is giving Alshon Jeffery the benefit of the doubt.

Even if it was, it dont matter now - games over. However, it looked like AJ check his spot with the ref and was okayed.

It was illegal and the refs missed it

They clearly had only 6 on the line

WRs sometimes get moved back so line Ref can see better .. as already stated ALshon Checked in and was ok
Nah....... he was 2 yards off the line...look at straight line from TSmith to the feet of the ref

It was illegal, imo. I know the top wr checked with the ref, but I didn't see an acknowledgment.

I know SBnation made the argument that he is on the line but if he is, then so is the player on the bottom of the screen, which would cause the player next to him to be illegally downfield. Just another they got away with to win this game.

TV Angles can be funny ... I heard once a REF used a Index card folded o_O

Honestly, I'm just mad that Garrett and Linehan couldn't have come up with that play on their own. I had been pleading on the other site for more trick plays from our offense.

you trust Dak to Catch it ? Or trust Zeke not to eat the football instead of hand it off ?

Lol, I think Zeke could. Besides, it wouldn't have to be him. Just throw it to Dez. Like, have Beasley throw it, and have Dak line up on the wildcat side with Dez rolling out. Something like that. Just spitballing lol. Besides, Dak could probably catch it wide open like that lol.....I think.

They actually did come up with a great play. The frustrating part is they used the play in a meaningless game instead of saving it for a crucial situation in a big game. It's just mind boggling to me what this staff does at times.

Here is the great play I was speaking of when our playoff seeding had already been determined:

Yeah, I remember that. I sort of wanted to reference it. I'd have LOVED it if they'd used it at a really good time last season. But that's not our coach's MO. They're not ballsy enough.
