I’m amazed at how many fans look at common scores and think that is any kind of predictor of future scores. As you rightly point out Jumbo, the eagles beat the colts by 1; we beat them by 35 so obviously the Cowboys will kill the eagles, lol. It’s fools gold because the NFL is the most unpredictable league in sports.
Looking at these previous NFL games, no one can tell me they saw these results coming:
Moral of the story: 4 games left. NONE OF US knows what’s going to happen! It’s the NFL!
- Dolphins 21 Bills 19
- Colts 20 Chiefs 17
- Jags 38 Chargers 10
- Broncos 11 49ers 10
- Giants 24 Ravens 20
- Steelers 20 Buccaneers 18
- Falcons 28 49ers 14
- Panthers 21 Bucs 3
- Commanders 32 eagles 21
- Pack 31 Cowboys 28
- Lions 31 giants 18
- eagles 17 Colts 16 (we must be way better than the eagles)
- Cowboys 40 Vikings 3
- Jaguars 28 Ravens 27
- Bengals 27 Chiefs 24 (@KC)
- Lions 34 Vikes 23
- Chiefs 34 Broncos 28 (chiefs struggled to win)
- Cowboys 27 Texans 23
- Jaguars 36 Titans 22
A team having a bad game against a bad team should not make you feel better about yesterday.
We've played 1 good quarter out of the last 8 quarters.
I'm just throwing it out there. We also scored 81 points in the last 8 quarters
I'm just throwing it out there.
It's your personal decision to be happy about these performances or not at the end of the day.
I predict an easy win against the Jags, because the Cowboys will be showing the Eagles what's in store for them.
We also scored 81 points in the last 8 quarters
Almost half came in just one quarter.
This team is most decidedly not playing all that well right now. And if it doesn't change real soon, this just gonna be yet another disappointing early playoff exit.
Does not change the fact we have scored over 40 points average in the last two games.
Spin it how you want
Again, we faced two of the worst teams in the NFL
Surprisingly, the media is handling yesterday's game way better than this fanbase. From GMF to Colin Cowherd, I've heard them say this was actually a good win for Dallas. That every team has their off days and it says a lot for a team to overcome that and pull down a win from a bad game. I agree. Yeah, it wasn't a pretty win, but it didn't have to be.TY
all the responses from media and fans seem are odd as if they do not watch other games just this year or yesterday
I'm always going to predict a easy win, because that's what I want. Trying to speak it into existence. The power of positive thinking might be a myth, but it cost me nothing to try it out.You were probably one of the many who were predicting an easy win yesterday.
^^^^^^^^^ this . Honestly, the cowboys haven’t played well in weeksThe danger of cherry picking stats.
Again, we faced two of the worst teams in the NFL the last two weeks and needed a crazy 4th Q to beat one and needed a 4th down stop and 98 yard drive to beat the other awful team we played.
Trying to convince oneself we played better than people think by score total is bizarre but pretty typical for Cowboys fans trying to rationalize what we've all seen before.
