Eagles vs Colts

I dont remember dallas preseason last year.
Not drawing any conclusions, but one team puts up a lot of points and another only 7 does make me wonder.
But ps games are hard to analyze as to what a team will be like in regular season.

Dallas lost every preseason game last year.

One team putting up "a lot" of points vs another team only putting up 7 in the 1st preseason game doesn't make me wonder anything.

I realize we're all football starved to a degree, but these games are largely played by guys that will either be on the bench or on the street during the regular season. Not to mention we're not game-planning.

For you guys talking about how awful Chip and the Eagles are....you sure do talk a lot about them. I'm not sure those two things add up.

You aren't talking much about the Skins or Giants....something tells me you are a little bit worried about the Eagles despite the collective "playing it off" technique here.

I agree that winning or losing a PS does not mean anything.
But putting up a lot of points or no points does say something.
It reflects that the people they have playing are not that good or motivated or well coached if they dont score at all or less that 13 points.
but that has to be consistent, thru all 4 games.

When romo and starters play they should be able to drive for a score , either td or fg.
If they cant then that isnt a good sign.
I think everyone will be looking at how good we run the ball when all starters are playing ??

The thing about philly puttting up 36 points, says they were motivated and did good in many areas like kick returns, int's and moving the ball.
It does not mean they will do that now in rest of games or regular season. but it is a good sign for them, and probably made their fans happy?

Even though it was 1st PS game wouldnt you feel better about cowboys if they had scored 36 and allowed only 10 ??

If you want to try and draw conclusions from preseason games then by all means, have at it.

It's cool to see the young guys in action, beyond that it's a reach, in my opinion.

Some but not really a lot. Very few of those scrubs will make the final 53 and have an impact in regular season games. That is why you watch and enjoy preseason games because football is finally on TV again. Certainly not to draw many conclusions from.
