Eagles vs Cowboys Offense

For sake of discussion, we'll leave defense out of this....becuase The Eagles defense was INSANELY badass sunday.....but the offenses were polar opposites....Dallas ranked 3rd and Philly ranked 23rd in total offense:

So with that said....are the eagles really what they are hyped up to be?? Many rankings out there have the eagles 2nd or 3rd on the list of team power rankings......I dunno, I just don't buy it.

The game was over at halftime.

Without looking at the stats of the game, when you generate a lot of turnovers, you often have a short field to travel to the end zone. Whether a drive is 40 yards or 80 yards, if it ends in a TD, stats don't matter.

The 23rd ranking could be very deceptive.

I agree. I hate the eagles but I respect them because they are a quality team. They have some good weapons on that team and it will be a battle when we face them

I think the Eagles D makes them a top 10 team, they create great opportunities for the O. I thought there ranking was fair

Also this fails because it's week one and the stat you're using is YPG landing Tampa Bay at #5......

The Eagles were down 7-0 and without their offense doing ANYTHING, took a 17-7 lead. So the offensive stats were a bit misleading.

An interception gave Philly the ball in FG range... they went 3 and out and kicked a FG. Panthers 7, Eagles 3.

Next possession, Delhomme sacked, fumbles, recovered for a TD by Philly. Eagles 10, Panthers 7.

Next possession, Panthers punt, DeSean Jackson returns it for a TD. Eagles 17, Panthers 7.
