Why does this Eagles game remind me of the Cowboys-Falcons game from last year? Young, upstart 4-1 Falcons team going against a 3-2 NFC East team, only to get taken to the proverbial woodshed.

(@the NE-BAL game)Such BS in today's NFL, i know you want to protect the players but now it's to the point where the refs make more big plays than the offenses. Every one of these things are 10-15 yards for borderline "personal fouls" and holding calls.

Holding should be a 5 yd loss and personal foul should be 5-10 depending on how severe it is. PI shouldn't be a spot foul, at most it should be 5-10 yds and/or a auto 1st down.

I agree. I have watched too many games this year where some DL gets a sack on what should be a game changing play.... but he grazes a QBs helmet only to get a 15 yard penalty.

It would be interesting to go back and watch a Ronnie Lott highlight film. How many of his amazing plays would now be considered "dumb" due to penalties.

I liked the older days. A wr can either decide to catch the ball and take a hit or decide that he doesnt want to catch it and avoid the hit.

If this gets any worse... I might stop watching the regular season altogether, like I have with the NBA.
