Eagles | Team's Week 7 loss identical to game in 1986
Wed, 25 Oct 2006 16:47:22 -0700

Rich Burg, of PhiladelphiaEagles.com, reports Philadelphia Eagles RB Brian Westbrook rushed for 101 yards and 113 receiving yards during the Week 7 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His 52-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter gave the Eagles a 21-20 lead in the fourth quarter, but the Eagles went on to lose the game 23-21. The last Eagles game where a player reached 100 rushing yards and 100 receiving yards in a game took place Dec. 14, 1986. Dallas Cowboys RB Herschel Walker had 122 rushing yards and 170 receiving yards during the game and scored on an 84-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter to give the Cowboys a 21-16 lead. However, the Eagles went on to win that game 23-21.

292 total offensive yards from one play (not a QB).

THat's amazing.

Herschel was a good one. One of the most underated in history.

I honestly wish players like Herschel (and Jim Kelly and the other USFL players) had complete careers in the NFL.
