Okay...maybe I'm jumping the gun, but I actually think the Cowboys are a legitimate playoff team and the best team in the NFC EAst...therefore, only a team that sucks or a coaching staff that's over the hill could allow an Eagles team to take over the divisional lead in our own stadium.

I think we're all a little nervous because the Cowboys have stumbled so often when they should have won a game with a lot riding on it, but this is different...we are clearly the better team on both sides of the ball.

I think we're going to pound the Eagles relentlessly tonight, and that's not something I predict lightly.

Our offense is capable of running the ball on Philly, and when they bring up some help, we will be able to hurt them with passes to our WR's, TE, and even our RB's. We are going to score at least 28 tonight.

Our defense is going to pound Philly into mistakes that will result in more points for our offense. Philly, despite their impressive OL, will not run the ball on us tonight. And while their receivers and Garcia have played well, they are not a threat to us...our DB's will cover them well...Garcia can get the ball down the field, but not without a running start and good protection...McNabb always hurt us because he was mobile and because his incredible arm strength could burn us. We're going to do 1 of 2 things to Garcia...either we pick at least 2 of his passes because we see the play and he doesn't have enough zip to beat us consistantly, or he plays the typical West Coast deal of throwing underneat, in which case I think Roy will really pound their receivers tonight, something we haven't seen in a while.

The Garcia-led Eagles play into our strengths, imo, and we will beat up their WR's and hopefully their TE's as well.

I expect our defense to have a big night in the turnover category, and I expect big performances tonight from Glenn, Witten, and Crayton as the EAgles make every attempt once again to take T.O. out of the equation.

Look for the Cowboys to take an early lead and then pound the ball with JJ and Barber.

It's only natural to be a little nervous, but the Eagles are suspect on defense, and without their superstar on offense, the Cowboys would have to be a total fraud to lose tonight's game in Texas....won't happen...we win big.

Merry Christmas

I don't see a blowout for either side. It'll be a close one until the fourth, when The Closer takes over and gets us a final minute score to win.

I am a bit nervous today, partly because of the defensive play recently. I am concerned about covering westbrook out of the backfield and LJ.Smith over the middle. The Eagles though are playing their 4th game in a row on the road,so that has to blow up sooner then later. The other good thing is I think Garcia is due for a bad day. Hope it's not a typical NFC east duel, rather a comfy Cowboy blowout:D GO COWBOYS!!!

If that's really how it plays out, then we aren't one of the elite teams and have very little chance of going anywhere in the playoffs. The Eagles have been on life support for some time, and they've played reasonably well and with effort and heart, but it's time to pull the plug tonight and let them R.I.P.

The Eagles are a weak team that is well coached...With the game in Texas, this game should be a tuneup. Close in the 4th does not say much for the Dallas Cowboys or their coaches.

Im with wayne on this one.

After watching espn and hearing ed werner say that T.O told him that he spent extra time on the feild after practice with matt baker and romo to get in his form.

He said that even though he's been ok this year he still feels like he hasn't been the dominate owens that he can be.

He said that when the eagles won earlier this year that game really wasn't important, he said that he looks forward to ending the eagles season with this game.

with that said i think that him and romo sets the tone and once we get up by 2 tds we force the game into garcia's hand and make hand out gifts to all of our defenders.

i said it in the beginning of the week and i'll say it now 35-17 cowboys!!!

tony romo-330-3tds
julius jones -20-88 yds
marion barber-15-75 yds 2tds
terrell owens- 9 catches 130yds 2 tds
terry glenn- 6-90
jason witten 6-55 yds

For some reason I think Crayton will be the recipient of the coverage on TO and Glen today. One on one with their 3rd corner, he will dominate on that matchup.

Another bogus prediction...

I think I remember against the skins that EVERYONE was prediciting a "pounding" of them, only to lose by a fluke play. Anything can happen, any Sunday.. hopefully everyone is prepared. If not it will show early..

Wayne i would like to take a second and say thank you for actually making a thread that has something to do with the game. I get really sick off all the Daily Star talk about sportscasters and networks and what players do ff the field. That all thats on this front page.

That being said Im not quite so confident about or D.

Well...I'm totally embarrassed...I had the prediction completely correct, but I had the teams wrong...:

The Eagles are the contenders, and the Cowboys are clearly merely pretenders...and anyone who uses the same old tired thing about "only one game" can kiss my grits...We're not a top quality team, and after all the hoopla after our road stretch when folks were calling for 12-4 or 11-5 and talking about super bowl matchups, well...anything can happen, but I won't be surprised if we finish 9-7 and lose in the first round of the playoffs.

This is clearly a team, whether you blame the players or the coaches, that can't win at this time of year when it actually means something.

We might be bigger on defense, but we are S---L---O---W---E---R, too.
