Eagles Win Over Cowboys Meaningless

Since they just lost to the Bears. They're now a game behind us and three behind the Giants. With the Giants playing they are you figure it's gonna take 10 wins to take the division. So Philly is gonna have probably win out, at most they could lose one more game and that's it. Very unlikely they do either of those two things. As bad as that loss was last week it looks pretty meaningless right about now.

It's meaningless to them now, but it will still be meaningful to us until we A) get a better record overall and B) a better division record.

We had a chance to go 5-3.

it wasn't meaningless. if we had beaten them and they lost to the bears, their season would basically have been over.

Any slips from us and a run by them will put them in a potential tie breaker position with us. They have a decently easy schedule. They could still make a run.

sorry, but at best the Cowboys go 9-7 this year, the Eagles can drop 2 or 3 games and still nudge the Cowboys out. Odds are neither team makes the playoffs.

Not to mention it would have been nice to have them be a potential spoiler for us since they play the giants and other NFC teams.

the eagles have now lost the head to head tie breaker with the Bears and Atlanta and are 3-4 in the conference. So not only are they sitting bad record wise, but they are really hurting with tie-breakers.

I'm not really sure we are a playoff team at this point, but I am absolutely convinced the Eagles will not sniff the playoffs now.

I will count them out when they have 7 losses. Until then they can still make a run for the division title.

I imagine they beat the Cardinals next week. so they will be 4-5 with a game against the giants looking to even up their record at 5-5.

they are setup to play spoiler in the one game that we need the most, and play no other nfc teams with playoff aspirations the rest of the way (except us)

They don't have a decently easy schedule. Where do you figure half of their remaining games: @DAL, @NYG, NE, NYJ is decently easy.

lmao dude our schedule is soft as a pillow. Even we lose both games against NYG which we won't the rest are against an inferior teams. Cowboys will be 10-6 and make the playoffs book it.

wait until after week 17 and let's see then, hopefully it will be meaningless, but far too much football to claim this right now

how is it meaningless when we still have the L?

do some of you even think before typing?

I think you should ask yourself the same question. Eagles, but Dallas but then lose to Chicago while Dallas won against Seattle.

A loss against an NFC or Division opponent is never meaningless.

The tie breaker process will become important come December.

Why was it meaningless? At 2-6 their season is almost certainly over. At 3-5, they still have a chance.

Another very good point.
