What about the cases where super corporations sue individuals over patents or similar situations?

Say you invent a gizmo that could make you lots of money, but a super conglomerate claims that they own the rights to said gizmo. They sue you. They have the means to pay lawyers and court fees and cover all those costs for years. What protection you have in that situation?

I know my example is not common place, but it does happen.

You don't make rules for the exceptions, you make them based on what usually occurs. The rest of the world seems to go around just fine doing it the other way

It is only the lawyers who make out and it is largely because they have a very strong lobby and senators and congressmen are mostly lawyers

Give you a simple example, the congressmen and senators (mostly lawyers) can take hundreds of thousands from "lobbyists" and vote a certain way and no one is the wiser but doctors can't take a ball point pen from a drug company or attend an informational dinner for a new drug without the company reporting it publicly with the doctors name (a rule made by the same senators and congressmen who themselves can take hundreds of thousands)

Yet, the doctor will make a decision that affects 1 persons life whereas the decisions by the senators and congressmen affect millions of lives

We live in a rigged society unfortunately and the public is too simple/stupid and distracted/ preoccupied by far more trivial issues to care
