He's on pace for 90 tackles, 8 INT, 13 PD, and 1 FF

What a stud. We should have traded up for this guy. What a difference he'd make.

Give me Dez instead. Thomas is no doubt going to be a terrific safety, but I think Dez will be more of an impact player for us over the course of his career.

How could you guys take Dez over him...when the guy said DROY...aka DEFENSIVE Rookie of the Year. :)

on pace, and what he ends up doing are/can be different things. honestly i wouldnt have minded either

Suh is on pace for 10 sacks as an interior defensive lineman...that's even more impressive IMO.

exactly. not to mention going that high would've meant no Dez and no Sean Lee, so I'm glad we didn't trade up

I would love to have Earl Thomas in our secondary, he is a flat out stud....and yes, I agree that he should be DPOY over Suh, in a very close race. Both are on struggling teams.

I am very pleased to have Dez and Lee...I am looking forward to watching them for years to come. I wish we could have been like the Pats and accrued an extra 1st, like they always seem to do...maybe then we could have had a shot at Thomas as well.

you are clueless man

you have absolutely 0 understanding of value/cost of moving up in the draft

you act like we could have just traded up 12-15 spots for a 4th rounder

get a clue

But, but it can happen in Madden.

Now why jump on me? I know the cost more than likely wouldn't been around our 1st, our 3rd&6th.

So in this we lose jamar wall, not a loss. And nothing since we would still have a 4th.

This is an easy call, Thomas would bring more to our defense than Dez brings to our offense. The cost of moving up is worth it to get the immediate impact at safety.

Dez has already scored 7 touchdowns. You think a safety with 5 picks is more of an impact than that? :laugh2:

Also, if you're crowning rookies with 5 INTs, the Pats rookie corner McCourty also has 5.

Thats another guy that should be in serious consideration. Although what ET has done is way more impressive. Look at the talent in New England compared to Seattle.

Uh, just as much.

The team that wins the turnover ratio usually wins the ball game. Also, when a safety gets a pick, it's usually down field, meaning the safety has stopped a team from scoring or getting closer to scoring position.

Oh, and 5 of Dez's 7 TDs came in losses. Just saying.

The team that's wide receiver scores on punt returns usually wins the game, hurf durf. There are clearly no other factors.

Okay, so Dez's TDs contributed to us winning 2 games by your logic? Thomas has had INTs in 4 games. 2 of his INTs came in games where they got blown out. 1 came in a game they won by 12 and so was inconsequential. The one game he had 2 picks they won by 7 so these picks were impactful. Ergo by your own stupid logic Thomas' picks have only been a factor in one game. Cherrypicking data is cool, right?

Not that a safety will win, but how does 10 sacks trump 8 ints? Ints give you possession of the ball.

The fact that so many of you are failing to understand this is a thread about DEFENSIVE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR is pretty funny though. :)
