Would you rather trade a 2nd round pick for:

Earl Thomas

Or

Amari Cooper?

I’m curious to see what the consensus would be considering our significant struggles on offense last week. Cooper seems to be in a rut in Oakland and considering they just traded away their best player, I thought it’d be fun for discussion. Carry on...

hes in rut because his QB much like ours has crashed back down to earth..:) so him and Dak well things wont change.ill take ET so we can try and hold the points down even more LOL need some shut outs :)

Case against Amari:
We could have Calvin Johnson and Jerry Rice out there. With our offensive masterminds we'd still look inept.

Case against Earl:
Sure he'd take this D to another level, but what would it accomplish? I think we need a generational type defense to challenge for a Lombardi with this struggling offense. Earl doesn't propel this D to that level alone, so it's not worth the draft capital or the contract.

I love both players, but just don't see the sense in making either move right now. Note I am perpetually an optimist so this is not a piss in the Cheerios post, it's truly how I feel.

Hope I am wrong

Had you asked before week 1, I would've said go with Earl. Let's just go for it and trade the 2nd.

But right now, neither. We'd still be 0-1 with ET and Amari Cooper is over rated.

Also, isn't Seattle asking for a 1st for ET? The front office offered a 2nd for him last week.

ET. Cooper has issues getting open. I would trade a 4th for him MAYBE...

I'd trade a 2nd for a qb that this FO wants because they don't want a dual threat qb

look at all the guys they brought in when Romo was injured plus most any they drafted or picked up in FA. I think Showers is the only other guy with the run threat
qbs with limited mobility but accurate arms who don't leave the pocket
of course they couldn't make it work with them either (Weeden, Sanchez, etc..) but hey

Good question. I would say Cooper. Love ET but think they need more dynamic players on offense.

cooper is not dynamic. Not sure if its a Derek Carr problem..or maybe Cooper just lost something.
