Him and Risen...lol!
whoosh lol.Um, no, I don't subscribe to that slop. I wouldn't give that hack a dime of my money.
He’s a year older so maybe 5 years. Something like 5 for 67.5 with 38 guaranteed. Less over all guaranteed but a higher percentage. They could even throw him a carrot and give him the same guaranteed, but that’s likely what they are looking at.Last year Berry got 78 million over 6 years with 40 guarenteed
Thats your starting point for ET
lol at people comparing him to Charley Haley for our defense (as putting it over the top). Haley had a great D around him. Wasn't all on him.
Did anyone really believe this FO was interested in spending more than peanuts on any free agent?
That's silly cause we don't have to pick 19. If it was Earl from a few years ago then yes but no way would I give up a first now or a second. I rather take any player that is close to 19-25 range and get them for 5 years. Earl isn't playing 5 more years and the rookie won't cost as much eitherEvery 19th overall selection in the NFL draft since the year 2000.
2017 – O.J. Howard, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2016 – Shaq Lawson, DE, Buffalo Bills
2015 – Cameron Erving, C, Cleveland Browns
2014 – Ja’Wuan James, OT, Miami Dolphins
2013 – Justin Pugh, OT, New York Giants
2012 – Shea McClellin, DE, Chicago Bears
2011 – Prince Amukamara, CB, New York Giants
2010 – Sean Weatherspoon, LB, Atlanta Falcons
2009 – Jeremy Maclin*, WR, Philadelphia Eagles
2008 – Jeff Otah, OT, Carolina Panthers
2007 – Michael Griffin*, S, Tennessee Titans
2006 – Antonio Cromartie*, CB, San Diego Chargers
2005 – Alex Barron, OT, St. Louis Rams
2004 – Vernon Carey, OT, Miami Dolphins
2003 – Kyle Boller, QB, Baltimore Ravens
2002 – Ashley Lelie, WR, Denver Broncos
2001 – Casey Hampton*, DT, Pittsburgh Steelers
2000 – Shaun Alexander*, RB, Seattle Seahawks
Out of the 18 players, only five of them have ever been to the Pro Bowl. I'll take a proven NFL Superstar over an unproven draft pick any day.
The only problem is, can we fit him under the cap? Not sure.

Edit: a year older than the season Berry signed his deal.
Seahawks working to trade Earl Thomas
No. But I am glad it’s not just meWhy are no tweets loading for me? Can someone help?
We just paid top money to free agent to be D.Lawrence and are about to pay big money to free agent to be Z.Martin.Did anyone really believe this FO was interested in spending more than peanuts on any free agent?
He's shown no signs of declined play and elite Safeties always play at a high level into their mid 30's. That's why Berry got a big deal into his mid 30's. Charles Woodson made the Pro Bowl at 39. Rod Woodson 37. Thomas is 28.That's silly cause we don't have to pick 19. If it was Earl from a few years ago then yes but no way would I give up a first now or a second. Bet someone came with a real offer after the Cowboys botched it lol
Not with his recent injury history. By the way how did Berry do this season...... InjuriesHe's shown no signs of declined play and elite Safeties always play at a high level into their mid 30's. I can see both sides of the argument though, but I think we'd get the best Safety in the league for at least three seasons, if not more.
Agreed. We know what the Seahawks reportedly wanted. What we don’t know is what the Cowboys were willing to part with or pay. What we also know is they have a recent history of being cheap. If a team came in with a real offer to both Seattle and Thomas, that’s what I mean by botched.I love earl. I want him on the team probably more than any other player ever, and am misguidedly willing to overpay for him. I don’t think there’s another team that would give up (potentially ) a first. AND pay him what he’s looking for. At most I think it’s one or the other. A high pick and a reasonable deal, or a high deal and reasonable pick.
I'm experiencing same issue. All I see is "WEBPAGE NOT AVAILABLE" and a bunch of mumbo jumbo underneath, when someone posts a copy of a tweet. I used to be able to read them, but it has been doing this for weeks now.Teague31 said:Did anyone really believe this FO was interested in spending more than peanuts on any free agent?
