Really glad we gave up a first for a skill position as well rather than having a first to address the defense since we don't do anything in FA.
I'd like to win a Superbowl at some point and not be a fringe wildcard team that gets eliminated so quickly.
Being a smart spender has gotten us nowhere and the best safety in football who we tried to trade for and played under our defensive coordinator just signed with Baltimore to waste away his career.
No, not a one year rental. I agree that would have been a waste of a second round pick (like Golden Tate and haha did to our friends in Philly and Washington). I’m saying they were probably going to tear up his current deal and sign him to, say, a 3 year deal... meaning he would now be entering year two of his 3 year deal.Yeah but it didn't matter. When they traded for him they were still going to give him a contract this year. That point is moot. Unless you are insinuating they wanted him as a one year rental?IT makes no sense.
HE wanted even more money last year.
I was going to post the same. Regardless of what you think of these players losing them(Beasley and Irving), did not make us better. We're worse off than when the season ended. I'm not angry though. I've become numb to it all. This team is pathetic...we needed to make the team better and instead lost Beasley and Wilsin, pissed off Dlaw making us worse. Oh yeah we got 300 year old 6.7sec Witten back. Screw you Jones
Stupid Ravens. Don't they know the only way to add talent is through the draft.
lol good job Dallas.
If we paid him 18 per year, would you gripe about that too?Unreal. We can't even sign a guy who wants to come here. 8-8 to 10-6 forever.
We're at the point of the off-season where it no longer matters. This team will not improve themselves in free agency no matter what they end up doing. The real upgrades are gone. It's on to the draft with no first round pick and in the meantime look for their QB to become the most overpaid player in the league as they waste more years with him under center.
This franchise is a joke.
Who talked money first? You or the 22y.o. or did it even get that far,,, personally, I've found that giving them that "cat hiss" on the sly low down to get there attention then dropping the "hey baby, you wanna date" line on them, and measure their reaction/ response in my formulating a decision to further proceed in negotiating a bizness transaction,,, the mileage of yer' angled approach may vary, thoughI had interest in a young 22 year old hooker too, well neither of us got what we wanted.... (I think she was undercover, gotta love Nawlins after hours bars)
I've been saying it the entire offseason. I couldn't be happier. We didn't sign himAh, here it comes.
The "Boy we sure are lucky we didn't get this bum" posts.
Remember Risen, Stephen said only a few weeks ago that the status quo isn't acceptable. That they have to build on what they have done and that what they did last year isn't good enough.
And then he took a nap on the poop deck of his dad's new toy.

On not over paying?lol good job Dallas.
hilarious to see endless whining about not overpaying for a FA.
the goal should be to never overpay.
