Feel free to praise or blast mine OR post your own.

1. Jeremy Maclin WR Missouri - I see a lot of mocks with him slipping to low 1st/early 2nd. If so, we would be stealing a player. He's lightning fast and bigger than I thought he was. If he's on the field with Barber, Felix, TO, and Witten we would have no choice but to score on every drive.

2. Herman Johnson G LSU - At 6'7", 350 lbs. he is legally a mountain or at least a hill. He would be groomed to replace Kosier at left guard.

3a. BJ Raji NT Boston College - Here's our yearly "acquire a player with troubled past" pick. Vey tough and very large NT, would be ideal run stopper we lack.

3b. Chase Holbrook QB New Mexico State - QB of the future. Big kid with big arm. I'd rather take a chance on a kid like him than Brook Bollinger.

4a. Fenuki Tupou T Oregon - Another massive lineman gives Cowboys quality depth behind Flozell and a hopefully re-signed Marc Colombo.

4b. Curtis Taylor S LSU - A good-sized safety with quickness, he could be in the mix if Roy Williams is shown the door.

5. Clay Matthews, Jr OLB USC - Would immediately help on special teams. He has played 5 positions at USC (Both DE spots, both OLB spots, & MLB) so he wouldprovide excellent depth. He'd be ideal giving Ware, Spencer, and Ellis a breather as a pass-rushing OLB.

6. Brigham Harwell DE UCLA - A 4-3 DT, he could compete for a reserve DE spot. Injuries have derailed him. As a freshman he was an immediate impact player in the Pac-10.

7. Marcus Brown ILB Oklahoma State - More depth at ILB.

I think Maclin is a true sophomore this year, so he won't be eligible for the 2009 draft. He is a talent. Now Crabtree at TT is a redshirt sophomore and will be eligible and a great pick.

Interesting. On wikipedia they list him as a redshirt sophomore as well. The official Mizzou site(at least it says it is the official site) does not.

http://mutigers.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/miss-m-footbl-mtt.html

9 Jeremy Maclin Wide Receiver 6-1/200 SO Kirkwood, Mo. Kirkwood

I remember hearing a few announcers say he was a true sophomore and just didn't question it. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. He is an exciting player to watch.

I found the answer and you were right, he did redshirt due to an injury. Strange he is not listed as so on the Mizzou site.

like this draft but I do not think Herman Johnson gets to us that late in the 2nd round. I am assuming that we are picking last. If he does get to us I believe we get a steal then.

I like BJ Raji that's about it. I think we will address other issues early like OT/OG So I am not expecting the sexy WR pick in the first round. Also ILB is a something we will go for earlier.

I like this draft

I don't think we take a QB in the draft, certainly not one that high, I think Garrett is pretty sold on Bollinger as being his backup

Buddy, your Raiders should be focusing on the trenches... especially the offensive line... you have talent at the skill positions, but nobody to block for them...

our OLINE looks pretty good actually, Mario Henderson should be starting. We have absolutely no receivers. Ronald Curry can't hold on to the football and Javon Walker is just a mess, Jamarcus needs a weapon.

updated after trade....

2. Herman Johnson G LSU - Just say no to Cory Proctor. Kyle Kosier could be a "Cap Casualty" this year.

3. Carl Ihenacho OLB San Jose State - Pressure, pressure, pressure. He's a sleeper who might project higher if he keeps blowing up opposing QB's.

4a. Chase Holbrook QB New Mexico State - Can we just pretend to draft a QB to develop?

4b. Ron Brace NT Boston College - We need size at the NT spot and at 330 plus, he has it.

5a. Trimane Goddard, FS, North Carolina - I think Roy's a goner but I also think they will try Anthony Henry at FS.

5b. Eric Wood C Louisville - Did you not see my earlier take on Cory Proctor?

6. Jeffrey Fitzgerald DE/OLB Virginia - This just in, Jerry Jones is willing to take chances on players with questionable histories.

7a. Jervonte Jackson DE Florida Atlantic - A DT in college, he would play end in the 3-4.

7b. Josh Pinkard S/CB USC - Injuries have derailed this once highly projected prospect. He has started at corner and both safety spots.
