Not sure why everyone keeps bringing up Eagles who did also have a bye after Week 6, but they WERE THE #1 SEED and got that bye during WC weekend which is what I mentioned we would need to avoid playing 14 weeks in a row. That's a fail on your part.

For the record i am not saying "We would make the Super Bowl if we have a bye in X" I don't think we are anyway, but this just makes it even more difficult. That is just the truth like saying we have a tough schedule or we have injuries. Not sure why everyone's getting so butthurt acting like 7 year olds. We have an injury prone team especially oline. If the byes don't matter why even have them? Of course it matters when you have a bye also.

Our bye is after Week 6 and it's a 17 game season. That means unless we're the #1 seed we would have to play 11 weeks in a row in the regular season then 3 week more weeks in a row in the playoffs to make the Super Bowl, that's 14 weeks in a row we'll have a game. The Eagles on the other hand get their bye after Week 9. That is a huge advantage to the Eagles.
What!

If your team is good enough the bye week does NOT matter!!!

It's called injuries of course it matters. Eagles did not play 14 weeks in a row despite having bye after week 6 because they got the 2nd bye due to being #1 seed. We are an injury prone team. Good luck with Zach Martin and Tyron Smith lasting 14 weeks in a row. They couldn't even play week 3.

Someone said "Super Bowl?" Ain't gonna be no SB for no Cowboys regardless of the bye timing. This must be the Chiefs forum. :muttley:

They used to play 14 straight weeks without a bye week. I think even the early part of the 16 game seasons as well. Can't remember for sure.

Plus we get a mini bye week early December, with 10 days off.

I kind of like the early bye week this season, get some of those nagging injuries healed up. Then get on a roll, and not have any momentum disrupted with 2 weeks off.

We already had one bye week against the Cardinals. We’ll have our normal bye week and we’re likely to take another game or two off before the end of the season.

It's not negativity, it's a fact. You think our o-line is going to survive 14 weeks in a row? Good luck with that.

I think it's completely unfair that one team has to play the last 11 weeks while another team gets their bye week after week 9, that's a 9-8 split for them and a 6-11 split for us. Completely unbalanced.
Bye week early can benefit us to get our OLine healthy with all the early injuries.

Week 7 bye is not early. Weeks 7-9 are all essentially mid season.

Good teams make their own bye week....by clinching the 1 seed early enough that they can rest their starters on the last week or two of the year.

Clinch the division by week 15 and play the backups for the final 2 weeks and get the playoff bye week...
