Early Game Thread

It is very discouraging to see the Commanders go up and down the field against New England, while we only managed 16 points.

Ugh. Skins have scrubs catching TD passes against New England.

You're going to have a hard time explaining gameplanning/play-calling not being a factor in many of our losses.

Wait a second. There are people who actually think Rob Gronkowski is better than Witten?

Holy **** people are stupid. I mean, there's no way to sugar coat. People are just stupid.

Eh, it's the NFL. Transitive theorem does not apply in this league.

If I give you an hour, do you think you can find ONE poster that's weighed in on this subject who hasn't given Gronkowski props for having an outstanding year?

What?

His point was that people were crapping on Witten.

The can't score on crappy defenses theory sure does though.

We had two weeks to prep for the pats and could hardly move the ball at all. The Commanders lose their two best players on offense and steamroll them. Ugh.

It isn't...yet some people...

Make sense?

I think most are looking solely at this year.....or last 2 years.

I'll need to see Gronk play like this for a few more to unseat a guy who's nearly guaranteed the HOF but if you look at the short term, Gronkowski has made a pretty good case for himself.

WOW Eagles blatantly held in the end zone and don't get flagged.

Business as usual.

No, my comment was complementing Gronkowski is NOT disrespecting Witten.

Or at least that was what I was going for.

A rarity: you and I agree.

I'm sure if someone snapped Grossman's ribs in half he wouldn't be driving down the field.

Triplette's crew is officiating the Skins game, so that means they aren't officiating ours.

Right....but clearly some aren't content at leaving it like that.

There have been those that feel the need to downgrade Witten as a result of Gronkowski's outstanding play....but whatever.

Tony's broken ribs didn't stop him from throwing the ball, though. We didn't throw it the way the Skins are today and it cost us.

I think Triplette is the worst official in the NFL.

Every game I watch of his is just terrible and the flag on London Fletcher was about as bad as it gets. They threw a flag when they shouldn't have and then made something up to cover up for it.

I've seen some of the worst calls come from him too. And he's the guy that blinded Orlando Brown.

Agree to disagree. I think that's exactly why we couldn't throw it that way. That combined with Wilfork tossing Costa about 5 yards off the line of scrimmage every down.

Sure, there are always those who will.

But it's not some overwhelming theme of the thread.
