Early Game Thread

people underrate how tragic of a move it was to let sean payton go.

Nobody more than me. I loved Payton when he was with the giants. I loved him after he had his play calling duties taken away from him in NY. Cowboys fans weren't doing cartwheels when Parcells hired him. I was. I'll admit, he's better than even I thought he was.

Giants coming back.
Hold that clowney pick

anyone know the cowboys inactives for today?

Just another unlucky trend. I don't blame Jerry in anyway for Sean Payton not being the Cowboys coach.

Good. I agree, the timing stunk. I was irritated at Parcels at the time for it too, especially since he then waited a year and far enough into the next offseason that Wade Philips and Norv Turner were finally the best remaining options. Can you imagine how good Payton/Romo would have been together in Dallas?

:(

i think im going to make a thread on this later in the week.

Hate to say it but eagles o has been flat wo Vick running. Giants taking over this game

drew brees, in chicago, is 26 of 30, 2 TD, 0 INT, for 265 yrds.
Oh and by the way...their running game is putrid...19 carries for 47 yds.

I would rather have NY at 6-10, or 7-9.....would put them stuck in neutral also.

Didn't Payton want to trade for Romo to NO, prior to getting Brees.? And Dallas said no. Would Payton/Romo been successful in NO, who knows. And Brees/Parcells in Dallas? Parcells loves vet QBs. .... Dammmm, opens a whole lot of what ifs. Let me grab another beer.

I'm always impressed by the Packers ability to win different kinds of games. You think they're strictly an offensive team, but they aren't.
