it doesn't need to be changed, a one off this year doesn't require the playoff format to be changed

It's not a one off. Seattle got the same a few years back. It's ridiculous and a terrible team with a losing record should not be in the post-season.

What are the odds of the Lions and Packers ending in a tie game next week? I know it is very slim, but I am interested in the actual percentage. Dallas still needs to take care of business today and then prepare to be the #3 seed.

Interesting but more so in that they would have to play until there is a winner for the division??? I don't know. I suppose they tie and use the other tiebreakers to decide who wins the division.

Jeez, how in the hell does Eli throw the damn ball up like that and get away with it so often. We hates him.

It would come down to tiebreakers.

so what, Dallas has two signature wins this year playing one of thee weakest schedules....does that mean their wins are more important than a team that has 7 wins.. you win your division, you're a playoff team, just because a 8-8 team or a team with a losing record once in a while gets into the playoffs isn't reason to blow up the playoff format..

Playing Detroit or Green Bay a week after they beat each other up next week is not a bad thing

who doesn't hate the Patriots

They reside on one of the most fake successful era (if not the most) in football…People keep heaping praise on them (and credit them they did their part) but forget that in the last 15+ years they had the weakest division in the NFL on a consistent base…their average division record during that time is 5-1..so you can say in every season they have 5 guaranteed wins and they only need at least 5 more from 10 other games to make the playoffs….

Landry's record during his successful era shows that he had to battle with a division where all teams at least made the SB once…now that's a real success and dominance in my book
