Rather have a guy who'll take some chances than a guy who won't take any and will basically concede defeat.

The Cowboys still need the QB to be conservative, just not as conservative as Weed. The Giants defense is 3rd in getting INTs. With basically all hands on deck on the Cowboys defense, they have a great chance to win this game with the defense but worst thing that can happen to the defense is for the offense to have turnovers.

Is it me or are the 2 easy games we have in the Bucs and Dolphins not looking as easy after today?

Again nobody is saying he's gonna be a savior. How is saying that Cassel can do the basic/fundamental things mean we think he's gonna be a savior? People have recognized that the offensive line is gonna have to pick up their play and somehow someway establish a semblance of a run game and the defense needs to start getting turnovers and sacks aren't gonna be enough. The entire team has to pick up their play, but we need the quarterback to go through his reads and progressions faster, not hold the ball forever, and hit players in stride and at least be a threat. I don't that asking that means we think he's a savior.

Again, I'm not saying anyone did I'm referring to a few who are acting like he'll be a savior. They see the Cassel from 2008 that led the Pats to an 11-5 record and had two 400 yard passing games.

I disagree. You don't win playing conservative. Does Cassel need to try and protect the football sure, but if you have Brice Butler have a step on his man on a vertical route or you get T-Will on a deep drag route you have to let it rip. We need those big plays. I don't believe the defense is gonna be dominant enough to win without any big plays from the offense. Our pass rush should be fiersome and I believe the line backing core can be as good as any, but the secondary is what is holding the defense back. The horrible safety play, the horrible angles, the lack of play makers in the secondary outside of Byron Jones. We basically have two guys playing at an above average level back there. Mo and the rookie. I don't think that's good enough to field an elite defensive unit.

Lamar Miller looks good out there...I remember a lot of us hoping he had fallen out of favor in Miami thus could have been a trade option.
