Early game thread

I don't think it works that way.

No it don’t, because one or the other is taken, and in this case take the PI.
I was thinking if it was a completed pass it could be added on, if a horse collar.
But my comment was more, it could have caused an injury the way he did it.

Disagree

Jason Garrett’s teams very rarely get blown out. For all his faults he almost always has his team in position to win the game in the 4th quarter.

His problems have been the game management once he gets them into those situations.
You obviously didn't watch the Eagles, Falcons and Chargers games last year.

There is no excusing Garrett and lack of coaching acumen.

I don't get why teams stopped hitting Newton in the face like they did a couple of years ago. That Denver season opener was a textbook what to do with him.

Quit worrying about the runs. Hit him early and hit him hard, he loses his nerve.

Because he whines that he does not get the calls when hit.

Exactly! Human nature is human nature. It's well known with baseball umpires, but fact that NFL refs have inherent tendencies is not considered near enough. The fact that the Cowboys' offensive opponents went 7 consecutive games last year without a holding call should make any sane person realize that. As was so eloquently said in Ghostbusters, it just ain't natural.

But my question to that is how often has a team gone through a stretch like that? Does it happen every year to a few teams? Once in 5 years? A decade? I ask this every time someone tries to call this some massive conspiracy and never get an answer. If it were really rare, is there an article somewhere that points this out? Something? Anything?

A thread was made saying that a win over the Titans wouldn't mean much. But, with the Skins losing a win means pulling to within a game of catching up to the Skins. Tomorrow night's game just became more important.
